Cards with Happy Birthday collection

10:48 am Unknown 8 Comments

Hello and good morning! ^__^
I'm Halak and today I'm gonna show you some colorful projects that I made using the Happy Birthday paper pack.
You'd think that this collection is titled Happy Birthday so it can be used for just that, right? Wrong!
It's got a bunch of gorgeous papers in fun and vibrant colors that can be used for a variety of projects!
I used sheets from this stack to make : a card + co-ordinating bookmark set and the second project is a CAS congratulations card.
These are the 4 sheets that I used for my projects :
So pretty! ^__^ That banner design sheet is my absolute favorite because it has so many lovely patterns in different colors that can be cut up and used individually or in totality as a banner.
That's what I did! I cut out butterflies from the banner and made this CAS card :
Added glitter to the solid butterflies and some sequins to finish it off.
The colors and patterns on this stack are so gorgeous, trust me, projects using these do not need a lot of embellishments, the pattern papers are quite the show-stoppers on their own!
Here's the card and bookmark set :

This card (RHS) is an interesting project. I wanted to use butterflies but wanted to do a bit of stamping on them so this is what I did.
Keeping the banner partial, I punched out the butterflies so that I get some color on the butterflies along with some white space to stamp sentiment onto. (Cool huh?)
Assembled the butterflies and adhered them. Then stamped the sentiment. Added a bit of glitter to the tiny butterflies and adhered some sequins.
(Yep, the ribbon is attached with a staple pin! I love mixing up different elements in a project!)
Also, did you notice, all 4 edges of this card are of a different size. ^__^
So, don't be afraid to experiment! Mix it up a bit!
I hope my projects inspired you to look at stuff differently and make the most out of it!
Thank you so much for stopping by! *Big Panda Hugs*

Birthday special Easel card

11:31 am Manu Gupta 2 Comments

Hello Everyone!!

I'm Manu and I'm so happy with the latest Papericious release!! This release is all bright and chirpy and soo colourful!! I'm sure you all must have seen the release by now and this months release offers soo many possibilities with it's 'Happy Birthday' and 'Pretty Basics' stack packs. While the Birthday stack is all about the birthday elements, the Pretty basics stack pack has Polka dots!! One of my favorites!!!! and yes the stripes too!! love this pack !!

Here's what I made with the 'Happy Birthday' Stack!! I chose to make a Easel card and kept the embellishments to bare minimum keeping in mind to highlight the papers!!! I really was pleased with the way the papers did justice to the card and pretty happy that only the papers could make a really nice card too!!

I have done layering of the papers and the base is made with a black cardstock on which a white panel is attached and then 2 layers of pattern papers!

Have also used a stamped sentiment on a stamped imaged and distressed it off!

For added interest, have added a frame on top of the whole adjustement!

Quite happy with the card! And it's super simple and easy to make too!!!

I hope you do remember that papericious has started hosting challenge and this months challenge theme is Vintage!! So, all you vintage lovers, here's a chance for you to enter and grab some amazing prices.  Read all about the challenge here.

Chocolate Bar Box

10:58 am Artforte 1 Comments

“A friend in need is a friend indeed…
… But a friend with CHOCOLATE is better.”

Dear Friends

Everyone loves Chocolate. It is perhaps one of the best and most popular gift between friends and ones you love.

But Gifting is an art and should be special. So today, I present to you a unique way of gifting a chocolate bar… I present to you an artistic “CHOCOLATE BAR BOX”.

In this lovely piece of distinctive gift box, I have used two newly launched and equally exceptional pattern paper stacks from Papericious – just apt for this lovely gift box. These stacks have been named “Happy Birthday!” and “Pretty Basics”. I have used the combination of these two exclusive pattern papers to make this one-of-its-kind chocolate bar box.

Hope now you would also make a list of all your friends and loved ones and let the rich aroma of chocolate strengthen your bond. As someone said “… A Chocolate Bar says “I Love You” so much better than words…”

Hope you all will love my work.
and would love to hear some value-able comments.
Have A Nice Day!!!

Don't forget to participate at our current monthly Challenge#2- Vintage

Card in a Box with 'Happy Birthday' Collection

11:55 am Hussena 4 Comments

Hello everyone,
This is Hussena here and I'm sharing a card in a box today which I have made using the papers from our latest release- Happy Birthday. This is a very vibrant and bright collection with lot of fun colours and prints. This collection would make a perfect birthday album, card, birthday favours, the list is endless! Because the prints and the colours are so fun, I thought it would be perfect for a card in a box project and here's what I have created :

I have mainly used the rainbow dots and chevron papers from this collection which are layered on a white cardstock. To make the fun dangling embellishments which is the main focal of the card, I have fussy cut them from various papers in this collection and stuck them on acetate. The balloons, the cake, the gifts- are so, so pretty in real life :) For the balloons, I have punched out the balloon image using a balloon punch.

For additional embellishing on the side panels, I have stamped and die-cut a few elements including the sentiment in the centre and my project was ready! :)

I hope you enjoyed seeing my today's project and are inspired to give this collection a try. Like I said earlier, the possibilities with this collection are endless. Stay tuned for some amazing inspiration by our Design team members using the May Release.

Our challenge #2 is also live where the theme is - Vintage. Do check out all the details HERE. We would love to see your take on the challenge!

Have a nice day everyone!

10:06 am kavitha 4 Comments

 Hello crafty friends,
Its kavitha here today with two cards using our latest release "Pretty basics".Hope you have seen our release for this month,if not check out this  POST.

As soon as i saw the papers lots of ideas were popping in my mind, these are just perfect for making CAS and trendy cards. The rainbow pastels are just the perfect shades, not too bright or light.
My first card is nautical theme(my most favorite) and the blue stripes paper fits the theme perfectly.I used paper smooches stamp set and mft dies.
Second card is made using mft and Wplus9 dies,i used the sun-rays cover plate die from mft and yellow stripes pattern paper.
Its been raining here heavily for past two days and i really struggled to take a decent picture,i tried my best to present it well,i hope you liked my cards. The internet connection is also very weak so i kept my post very short, sorry for that:).

Thank you for stopping by.
Happy crafting,

Mixed Media Journal Page (Tutorial) by Shilpa

11:00 am Shilpa Nagaonkar 4 Comments

Hello Everyone,
Shilpa here,

Today, I am sharing with you, how to create easy Art Journal page with Papericious Love in Paris collection.

I use old book as my one of the art journal. To start this journal spread, I adhered lovely damask design paper on the base with mod podge. As a primer I used Clear gesso onto the whole surface.

When I was waiting for gesso to dry, I cut out tags, doily and other ephemera from the paper collection. I also chose stamped image of a couple as my focal point.

Next layer on the base, is texture , which I created with light paste and stencil. Allowed it to dry completely.

I roughly arranged photo and ephemera on the page to check, where exactly I'll need to add the colors.

I used Colour arte primary elements in pink, peach and sand colors to enhance the texture on the page..

and here is finished journal spread....

you are liking it?

Thanks so much for stopping by. Don't forget to join us for our "Vintage" challenge this month.
