Treat Boxes with Minimal Embellishments

Hello everyone!
Parul here with some treat boxes! Tropical party theme is quite popular among kids. And it's one of my favourite too because of the colours it carries. Those pineapples,  flamingos and tropical leaves.. I love everything about it.
The paper pack Fleur Fun from the latest release has got those colours too. So I thought of making treat boxes :)
Aren't these pretty? They will be great for any summer party right?
These patterns are so colourful and bright that they don't need much embellishments. I adhered flowers made from this same paper pack for closure of these treat boxes with wooden clips.
I am hoping that you will like my project. Do check out the projects of other DTs as well. They are doing wonders with Papericious products.
Also are you playing along with current challenge "Make your own Embellishments" ? It's so much fun! I hope to see your entries there :)

Love and Hugs,

Quick Card with Fleur Fun

Hi everyone!
Erum here today with a quick and easy card to make. I am always looking for quick cards and this one took no time at all to make.

My card features the gorgeous paper from Fleur Fun Paper Pack and I LOVED this one paper from this pack which had elements for us to cut out and use. So I cut out the flowers and leaves and started to play around to get a sense of what arrangement will work. By the way, in all honesty, these images are NOT hard to fussy cut. I actually got this done quite fast.

When I figured out what I wanted, I worked on my card front. For that, I initially planned to use the yellow polka dotted pattern, maybe I will use it next time. But for now, I settled with warm yellow/orange watercolour. After the watercolour was dry, I added black paint splatters. Then I adhered the floral elements with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the sentiment which worked beautifully with the look. In the end, I popped up some sequins.

I hope you liked my card, I for one LOVE how it turned out and the plus point is it's such a time saver. The images are so gorgeous and just waiting for you to cut and arrange!
See you guys soon.

"She loves him and he her" by Tina Ollett

Hello and a very warm welcome to you! This is Tina Ollett with you today to share my very first blogpost using the gorgeously stunning Papericious "Fleur Fun" collection.
When I received this collection I was taken away by the colours of it. I am not usually a brights girl but this got me to thinking about the Festive Challenge also this month. And I thought that maybe I could get a headstart with my Christmas Creating. Every Christmas I create a couple of layout projects for a relative or friend as some extra for their parcel. The grandparents always relish a layout of one of the children and in the case is it one of the children with a pet friend who we treat like one of the family. For this project I have titled it

"She loves him and he, her".....

I was truly taken aback with the sheets of florals and you guessed it, I went ahead and fussy cut a lot of the sheets to give me the base for my layout.

So along with the sheets of fabulous florals and leaves I also used the plain pink sheet as my background page. This I trimmed the sides at the left and right and added a little strip of the pretty green polka dots behind each side. These pieces were sanded a little too. I love to show a bit of the white core of the papers for my projects to give them that shabbiness. So I also primed my background with Clear Gesso. And left this to dry. Once dry I did a little sponging using the Papericious Natural White Chalk Paint. This went on just beautifully with a sponge and I wiped excess away with a baby wipe at the end not to cover every part of the pattern.

I started firstly with my Portrait 4 x 6 inch colour photo of my youngest daughter and our gorgeous boy "Gru". This was matted with some of the leftover green polkadot papers. Again the edges were sanded and I also popped this up on a couple of layers of 3D foam tape.
The Pearl Pink Chalk paint was used to give some highlights to the framework of my layout. I ran my finger over the outer edges of the layout with the Pearl Pink firstly then I went over it with a little of the Natural White.

All of the layers of the fussy cut floral and leaves were distressed a little and I also did some sanding to give the look of shabby chic again.

Here you can see some of the layers. There are quite a few. I also added in some of the fabulous Papericious Chippis. A collaged pattern that I turned on its side. So rather than looking like a square it looks like a diamond of sorts. This was dressed in the Natural White Paint Chalk. I gave it two coats and then went over it with some Star Dust Stickles to make it shimmer. I also added in some distressed pieces of white muslin to create more layers to my project.

And here you can see that I have also added in some strips of the green Polka dots. The edges were sanded and distressed and I hot glued these in place to sit over the foliage as seen above.

And from another view. You will also notice that I added in a little random stamping using a script stamp with some Walnut Distress Ink. This adds to the dimension some more and also brings out some of the browns in my daughters hair also. Above you may be able to see that I have added the Star Dust Stickles to the yellow centres of the flowers. Just adds a nice touch I think.

Well that is it. My Festive creation for this months challenge. I hope you have enjoyed my first post.
Until next time take care.

Baby Record Book by Swati

Swati here from Swati's Crafting World, Guwahati, Assam. I'm back on the blog with an inspirational post. Today I'll be sharing a beautiful baby record album for a baby which I made using the Jack & Jill Paper Pack & making it was fun.

A beautiful record book to document Baby's memories. A beautiful memory keeper with a pop-up effect to add to the fun & beauty of the project. It captures every moment since the baby was born till his second birthday. I made this memory keeper for my cute little cousin brother.

Cover size : 6" X 6", the album pages : 5.5" X 5.5" & contains 10 interactive pages with pockets. There are a lot of pockets, tags, waterfalls, easel effect thing, photo frames, et cetra. All the 10 pages are different from one another & has a unique pop-up feature. The album & pages are decorated with baby embellishments, 3D shaker chippis, charms & trinkets; & I've also fussy cut some characters from the Jack & Jill paper pack.

I've added some tags to the album to give it a different look. I made this small tags by the scanning one of the paper from the Jack & Jill paper pack & printed it for recording the baby's weight, height, first time when he said Mumma, Dadda, his first outing, first vaccination, first tooth, first bath,
et cetra. You'll find the pictures of the same below.

Now onto my challenge inspiration based on the challenge theme:

Using newly launched papers Fleur Fun, I have created some embellishments. These embellishments can be used to enhance any of the projects like albums, boxes etc. I have die cut few shapes from the paper pack and combined them to make embellishments.

Now onto gorgeous challenge inspiration by my friend, Parul Gupta. This is how Parul has described her project.

Hi everyone!
Hope you all had a great Diwali! This being a five days long (read longest :) festival leaves us quite tired, no? But its all worth it! Those sweets, lights and smiles make up for all efforts we put in :)
So now coming to the theme of this month’s challenge, it's so interesting. I have always loved making my own embellishments because then they are kind of embedded to your project. And first thing which came to my mind was flowers.
Papericious has got such a beautiful array of pattern papers so you can always make some flowers and embellish your projects.
I used Fleur and fun pattern paper from their latest release and made some flowers
I made both large and small flowers and as you can see they both look equally gorgeous :) Hope you like them and do play along with us

I hope you are inspired by our projects and will be playing along our challenge this month.

Thank you for taking out time for us!

Happy Crafting!
