Now lets move on to my creation:

Since Father's Day is just around the corner, I decided to recycle my Iphone box which I had been saving for quite some time and turn it into a beautiful gift box. I was extremely lucky that I had a wonderful masculine collection from Papericious called "The Gentleman" in my stash, and it was just perfect for what I wanted to make.

I have used the pattern papers from this collection to cover the lid of the box after distressing the edges, and decorated the top with the fussy cut embellishments from the die cut sheets, Papericious grey chippis and some stenciling with Papericious modelling paste. The fussy cut embellishments have been layered in a cluster and this forms the focal point of my project. I have also added a little cheese cloth underneath for added texture and finished off my project with some black enamel dots and white Nuvo drops.

I also used some pattern paper on the insides and the back of the box so that it pulls everything together. Hope you liked my recycled project and will be inspired to create something for this challenge.

Here are some pictures of my project with few close ups.

Now let's have a look at what Nandini has created on the Go Green concept.

Hello everyone!
Nandini here, back with the an Altered Art Project which I have created using a trash cookie box.
I have used different mixed media mediums from Papericious to create this vertical round box.
First, I covered the box with waste twine (Sutli) and coloured it with Papericious White Chalk Paint. Then I created a rustic look using different colour mediums specially the Spray Colours called Spritzz and Waxes. The Chippis and embellishments have been arranged in a beautiful composition at the centre of the box. All the flowers are handmade from the Vellum Sheets by Papericious.

Hope you all liked my creation!
HAPPY CRAFTING!

Scrapbook Layout ft. "Me Before You" - Photo Tutorial

Hello friends,
This is Priti here, and I am going to share a beautiful scrapbook layout with a step by step tutorial. Papericious has released another gorgeous paper pack this month called "Me Before You", which is absolutely perfect for the Valentine's theme. But I have used this collection to scrapbook a picture of myself with my lovely girls inspired by the colour palette, the flowers and the butterflies in the papers. Everything in this collection is just so pretty!

I have used a little mixed media in the background inspired by the colours in the collection and it blends everything in the page so well. So let's walk you through the process to create this page.

Firstly, I chose my base pattern paper and applied some White Gesso on it. Once dried, I smooshed some inks in pink, blue and purple shades with a piece of plastic, popularly known as the packaging technique. It may look real messy right now but as we start adding all the other elements, it will look very beautiful with different colours peeking out.

Then I took some pieces of different pattern papers and layered them behind my photo as shown below. You can use small pieces of left over pattern papers for this.

This is how it looks like when you place your layered photo on the messy background.

Then I fussy cut some embellishments from the Cut & Create Embellishment Sheets. Most of them are from the Me Before You Collection itself.

I pasted my photo with all the layers on the background paper and arranged these embellishments around it in two distinct clusters. I also used some butterflies cut from a pattern paper so that I have them in different sizes on my page.

After I adhered everything, I added some sequins, black ink splatters and White Nuvo Drops on the butterflies. These finishing touches make a big difference to the page.

Here is a close up picture of the butterflies. You can see how beautiful everything looks together.

Here is the list of supplies used for this project:

I completely enjoyed making this page with these amazing products from Papericious. Hope you liked this layout and are inspired to create something.

"Love" Scrapbook Layout ft. 'The Flickers'

Hello friends!
This is Priti here, and I am sure you are loving the new release from Papericious. Everything is just so gorgeous and I was totally swooned by my first DT kit :) I am happy to share a beautiful scrapbook page featuring The Flickers Paper Pack and the new Shaker Chippies.
This colour combination of gold, red and black, and the most amazing foil papers were just perfect for me to create a scrapbook page with a picture from this year's Diwali. The paper quality is so good and the patterns are just lovely. I chose two sheets for my background and applied some White Gesso on the black paper to tone down the colour and the print, for my page composition. The foiled roses stole my heart and so I cut out few roses in gold and red from the pattern papers and arranged them in a circle to form a wreath. The shine on these papers is absolutely stunning!

For the title, I chose to use the Mono LOVE Shaker Chipboard which I painted with Papericious Natural White Chalk Paint and filled it with some red sequins. The picture was matted on two pieces of different pattern papers and I just loved the way this layout came together :)

I also added a gold paper clip, some gold splatters and hearts from the "Love Actually" Cut & Create Embellishment Sheets.

Here are some more pictures of my layout with few close ups:

Easy Mixed Media Cards

Hello everyone,

Sunila and Aditi here to share a few mixed media ideas. Mixed media is all about layers, and it isn't as complex as it appears to be.

Today we'll share some ideas of using the Papericious Decoupage Papers and Mixed Media Mediums together and create two cards.

Here's the first card:

For this card, we first cut out the image of the girl from the decoupage paper. On a piece of watercolour paper, we first misted it with water and added yellow and black paint randomly. We then placed the image of the girl and using a stencil sprayed pink colour. We then added some stamping randomly with purple colour. We used decoupage glue to adhere the image onto the background and completed it by adding a sentiment. You could mount this on a cardstock base as a card or leave it as it is as a Journal Page.  Here are some close-ups:

Onto the next one now. For this piece, we first tore the coordinating decoupage paper randomly and using decoupage glue stuck it onto white cardstock. We then gave it a layer of watery white gesso and dried it. Next, we mixed two paints with modelling paste and added texture using a stencil. Next, we added some splatter with the pink spritz. We coloured a pattern chipboard with the same paints and layered some lace and flowers. We completed it with a sentiment and some sequins.

Hope we've inspired you with our creation:)!
