Vintage Mixed Media Tag

Hello everyone, Heena here from bloomingpaperbuds.com. Today I have a Vintage mixed media card to share using the Ephemera Paper pack. The Ephemera pack has beautiful shabby chic and vintage patterns great for both mixed media and scrapbooking.
Now let's begin with the pictorial...

For this card, I have taken this 12 by 12 pattern paper from the Ephemera
pack. And I have cut the base for the card and a few extra pieces for layering from the same pattern paper. The floral images are fussy cut from a different pattern paper from the same pack.

Next, I applied some black modelling paste through a stencil and sprinkled some black glitter embossing powder over it. Here I made my own modelling paste by mixing some texture powder with Papericious black gesso.

Next, I took some clay embellishments and covered them with some Rust effect paste.

Here, I have used these rust effect pastes but if you don't have it then you can make your own by mixing some texture powder or plaster of paris with the same shade of acrylic paints.

This is how I have layered the base.

Next, I just arranged some lace, flowers, fussy cutouts and Papericious white chippie Mermaid flower

I also used some art stones, beads, gold glass glitter, sequins and Papericious twinkling spark to add more detail. Lastly, I added some splatters of white gesso.

I hope you liked my creation and found it inspirational, thank you for stopping by!

Mixed Media Layout using Ephemera Collection

Hello everybody,
Heena here from bloomingpaperbuds.com, today I have a Mixed Media layout to share with you all using the Ephemera paper collection. This is another paper pack from an older release and is so gorgeous and extravagant with beautiful romantic and sophisticated patterns. For today's post, I have created a heart-shaped layout.
so let's begin with today's post...

I started off by cutting my heart-shaped base from a 12 by 12 pattern paper.

Next, to make the background more interesting and shabby I used a background stamp and stamped randomly on one side using clear versamark ink and heat embossed in white.

Then I added some textures using modelling paste through a stencil and lightly dusted it with twinkling spark.

Now, fussy cut some floral images from the pattern papers and some more pieces of different pattern papers for layering.

Here I have stamped an image on vellum and heat embossed it in white and fussy cut it.

After all the embellishments are ready, start making the arrangement, Here I have used fence pattern chipboard primed with white gesso, some IOD mould embellishments and flowers.

After adhering all the embellishment, I added some colour and details to the embellishments.

Here I have used art stones, papericious teal shaker beads, sugar plum sequins.

I hope you liked my creation, Thank you for stopping by!

Quick Cards 2.0

Hello everyone! Erum here today and I am back again with a couple of quick cards to share with you.
Today we will be using dies to make quick cards.
I will be using this beautiful paper from the Ephemera pack to make my cards.
Let's get started!

Cut out your card front.

I chose to go with the butterflies die. Dont just randomly die cut the piece. Place the dies in a way that looks good and make sense. We will be using this as a front for one of our cards.
We will end up with these two pretty pattern paper butterflies that we are going to use on our second card.

For my second card I cut out a piece of CS, punched one border to give it a pretty look.
Added some watercolor (randomly), keeping the center concentrated since we will be placing our butterflies there.
I went with a slightly concentrated watercolour since my diecut butterflies ended up having no part of the floral pattern.
I also used one of my Tim Holtz layering stencils to add the mint colour that was on our pattern paper.
Here is how it looks, not great eh? We will be adding some black splatters to it later on and wait till we add the butterflies, it will all gel together.

I decided to make a shaker out of the first panel.

My cards were lacking sparkle so I decided to add holographic glitter randomly.

I know it looks a bit weird but it only looks this way in photos. In person it is clear, holographic.

I then arranged my cards on their bases, added some tidbits and sentiment dies.
Here is the end result.

I used a white pen to outline the butterflies so that they would stand out.
I also added a bit of vellum to make the sentiment pop and cover part of the design.
The shimmery pink sequin is by Papericious. I just LOVE the sparkle on them!

Here is my second card. I added a light purple glitter strip along the lace border.

I hope you enjoyed today's post.
Don't be afraid to use the papers with big, bold patterns.
