Decoupage MDF Book Box and Altered Wooden Key holder

11:00 am Chirali Shah 2 Comments

Hello people.

Chirali this side with new projects on Decoupage featuring the latest release of Decoupage papers of Papericious.

There are two projects to share with you all, one is Decoupaged MDF Book Box and other is Altered Key Holder.

Here they are:

Here are the individual photos with details:

I painted the MDF box in brown, dry brushed with white chalk paint followed by brown distress inks on that white chalk painted area. Then I cut the decoupage paper in shape I wanted, glued it with decoupage glue and finished the whole thing with top coat of decoupage glue.

You can see the shine it gets after applying decoupage glue.

Now, altered key holder:

I painted the wooden piece with chalk paint followed by dry brushing using silver acrylic paint. Then I cut the flowers and chandelier from decoupage paper, applied decoupage glue on the back side of paper, adhered them tightly, added fonts on small piece of deco paper, gave some outlines with silver paint and finished everything with top coat of decoupage glue.

I hope you liked it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,
Chirali. :)

Floral Bookends

Hi lovely people,
Here is my last post for you this year and I have got you these lovely decoupaged Bookends. What could possibly be the best way to spend you chilly winter days!? I would say pick a book ,a cup of hot chocolate, find a cozy corner at home, relax and read your favorite book!
So here is my inspiration for you to keep your favorite reads together.
Have you checked out the new decoupage paper designs at Papericious...we have some gorgeous prints for you. And not to forget some amazing new editions to chalk paint colors.
Used the Cyber Grape chalk paint to paint these mdf bookends. I have used a sponge brush to paint as it helps in reducing those brush strokes and gives a smooth paint finish to the surface.
For one end piece I have also stamped the script image using the Kaisercraft script stamp using some sepia archival ink. Also used papericious soft gloss gel with the stencil for the subtle quote.
Next, fussy cut the flowers image from the Whimsical decouapge paper.

For the other end of the bookend I decoupaged the entire piece using the gorgeous Whimsical design from the new collection. These papers come in perfected coordinated designs to complete to your whole project.

Here is a close up view..Aren't these bookends pretty!?
Hope you liked these. Do leave some love in the comments.
And here is wishing all of you Merry Xmas and a Very Happy New Year.
Meet you all again next year with some lovely products and projects till than
Happy Crafting!!

Decoupaged MDF Panel

11:00 am Pavitra 2 Comments

Hello my dear friends....
There is so much in a art called Decoupage , one can revamp an old holding or can beautify new articles. Papericious added lovely decoupage papers and  chalk paints shades to there  collections.
I so loved the Vintage Gypsy decoupage paper and created a weathered vintage MDF panel.
Have a look!!!
For this panel here i applied a base coat of brown paint and rubbed candle piece randomly here and there , next i applied Paperiocious Natural White Chalk Paint and once dried properly sanded the paint to created a weathered background.
After that fussy cut the car image and destination logo from the decoupage paper and position on mdf panel with the help of Decoupage Glue.
For the bottom half of the panel i mixed Papericious Natural white Chalk paint with acrylic glaze and applied this mix on mdf panel , created the textured look with a texturing tool.
Finished off with resin embellishments , which i painted with brown chalk paint first and than dry brushed with Natural White Chalk paint.

Hope you like my work for today

See you soon

Hugs
Pavitra

Decoupaged Glass Bottle

11:00 am Kriti Mishra 1 Comments

Namaste Everyone!!

This is Kriti today with an inspiration post...
The perfect way to use up your empty bottles is to alter them. Today's post is based on decoupage, which is a simple and effective way to recycle glass bottles and jars and create beautiful, unique decorations for your home and office.

Recently Papericious has launched some new decoupage papers and they can be used to create different gorgeous projects.

This is the project..

I started with a plain glass bottle that had been cleaned inside and out by soaking it in hot water( labels were removed) and then left it to dry. Then I have coated the bottle with two coats of white gesso.

After that I have applied Soft Rock Chalk paint by Papericious with the help of sponge.

Next, selected a beautiful decoupage paper from Whimsical Pack. I had cut some floral motifs. The quality of this paper is awesome, however, I felt it might be a little too firm to mould to the circular shape of my bottle. So, to save myself, I have moisten the backside of the paper with water, let it set a moment and then applied the Papericious Decoupage glue. Then positioned both the motifs and applied decoupage glue with a flat brush.

After that sponged the bottle with Dried Lavender Chalk Paint and embellished it.

Few more pics..

I hope you liked the post..

Hugs !!

I used one of the soft coloured papers from the Winter Rimes 6x6 pack for my card front. First, I added tons of white paint splatters. I let them dry. I then added matte gel to parts of my paper and l literally poured over Crystal Clear Glitter.

Can you see all the scrumptious glitter?
During this time, I also inked up the Fence pattern chipboard with Picket Fence Distress Stain. You can also use Papericious Acrylic Paints.

The die is by Spellbinders, the sentiment stamp from Just Rite Stampers.
All flowers are store bought, I covered them generously in  Crystal Clear glitter.
That is all from my side.
I hope you like my card.
