Hello everyone,
Heena here from bloomingpaperbuds.com, today I have some vintage decoupage inspiration to share using the gorgeous decoupage papers from Papericious. The papers have beautiful vibrant prints and have the perfect thickness for decoupage. Today I have two projects to share, I hope you like them!

The first project is decoupage on Mdf box, for this project I have used the Papericious white gesso, loop black chalk paint, decoupage glue. I have fussy cut the floral images from the pretty peonies set, I also have randomly stamped the box using a crackle stamp and sealed everything by giving a nice coat of the decoupage glue.

The second project is an altered wooden tray, for this project I have used Papericious chalk paint in shades bracket green and villa plum, I have distressed the wood using sand paper for the vintage look and the floral element is fussy cut from the purple garden set.

I hope you found my projects inspirational, Thank you for stopping by!

Ideas with Decoupage Supplies

11:00 am Dotstolines 0 Comments

Hello folks,

We're back on the blog and today we have fun projects to share with you. We've used the new Decoupage Supplies by Papericious- the Papers and the Glue and we enjoyed using them.

The papers are easy to use and come in two sizes - 6" x 6" and 8" x 8". They come as a set of two perfectly coordinating patterns. The quality of the paper is great- not too thick nor too thin, just right to be able to decoupage. The designs are amazing, and versatile.

The Decoupage Glue is fantastic as well. What we loved the most about this glue is that it remains tacky for a little longer, giving us enough time to play with our paper placement.   The Papericious Decoupage Glue comes in two sizes - 60 g and 200 g.

Onto our inspirations for you...

First up, an altered metal tin...
For this we used one 6" x 6" sheet from the Pretty Peonies Set. We first primed our tin with Papericious Heavy Gesso White. Then using the new Decoupage Glue we adhered the paper. For our lid, we kept it simple- sprayed some Baby Pink Spritz, added jute cord, lace and a fabric bloom.

Next up is a Journal Spread.
For this we used the second 6" x 6" sheet from the Pretty Peonies Set. We fussy cut the big floral elements as well as the smaller ones. We've incorporated them with a stamp. For colour, we've used the Spritz Sprays and given a watercolour effect.

Altered Art with Decoupage papers and Glue

11:00 am Chirali Shah 2 Comments

Hello people.

Chirali this side wishing you all a belated happy diwali. I hope you enjoyed the holidays to the fullest.

So today, it’s all about the gorgeous Decoupage papers and Glue, recently released by Papericious. Papers are so beautiful with which you can turn any waste thing into a useful one.

In diwali, you must have got a lot of sweet or dry fruit boxes. Don’t throw them away. They can be turned into a very useful home decor piece. So one of my today’s project is one such Altered box and second one is my old dirty clutch.

See these. An old dirty clutch which got many coloured scratches but it’s not at all damaged from inside so to make it useful, I altered it and second one is an empty chocolate box.

Altered projects are here:

Yaaayyyy!!!
I turned the box into a photo frame and that old clutch into the brand new one.

I painted whole box with French Blue chalk paint. The middle part is a bit outside which measured 7.5x7.5 inches. I wanted to make it a magnetic frame to ease changing of photos so I cut the same blue coloured paper and sticked on the back side after putting 4 magnets at desired distance. Then I made a stand and attached it with a Brad. Then decoupage started.  There are many different designs in deco papers. I have used two of them in frame. The Peacock Medley has been used as a base and Blue Roses has been used as a decoration to the frame. Supplies list is at last.

Due to magnets, one can pull out all the layers of photo (Even this acrylic piece along with magnets) and gift it again as a chocolate or dryfruit box and then that person can use it as a photo frame. Isn’t it a great idea to gift someone a useful box which will last long too?

Some closeups!

Now the second one - altered clutch!

I painted the clutch with Pearl Pink chalk paint. Then fussy cut flowers and a butterfly from Pretty Peonies deco paper. Before sticking, I kinda distressed edges with cream coloured chalk paint. After applying decoupage glue and adhering them with clutch, I applied cream chalk paint roughly through brick stencil.
And then applied deco glue all over.

The second side of the clutch is the second paper of same design, rounded the edges, distressed the edges with cream chalk paint and then the same decoupage process.

And done!!

My ever new clutch is ready! :)

I hope you like the projects.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,
Chirali. :)

Altered Embroidery Hoop with Decoupage Papers

11:00 am Kriti Mishra 9 Comments

Namaste Friends!!

This is Kriti, I am here today with a very different project using Papericious newly launched Decoupage Papers. These papers are so beautiful, it has the most gorgeous colours and patterns. Anyone will fall in love with these.

Now, as you all know I am not a decoupage person, so I made a little different thing, tried something new with these beautiful papers.

I followed one mantra " Never be afraid to try something new, because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know". If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.

So, I altered some embroidery hoops with these papers and I love how they turned out.

Have a look!

Some close- up pics

To make these I picked three embroidery hoops of different sizes. Then coated them with Papericious white gesso, after that applied Papericious Bracket Green Chalk paint with some Papericious white crackle paste( I am in love with this product).

Now selected my favourite papers from the collection. Trace them out of the size of the hoop and cut them according to it( I had also cut three circles of a cardstock too to paste these decoupage papers over it, so that they become sturdy to hold the embellishments).

Used Papericious Soft Gloss gel to paste the papers with hoop.

Now decorate each of the hoop and get creative with it. I kept it simple with less embellishments because papers were beautiful. These don't let me to add more embellishments.

It was so much fun to make these and I am loving the final result.

Hugs
Kriti Mishra
