Buddha Fridge Magnet

Hello My Crafty peeps,

Today , I am excited to make a new project with Papericious newly launched Pre marked Mdf bases and Chalk paints. I am all praises about the quality and variety of colours Papericious has launched in the chalk paints.

For today's project I have taken the Buddha   4 inch premarked mdf base and chalk paints in the shades - Brink pink, Fuchsia , Orange pulp, Hot red and Mocha.

I started with priming the Mdf base . Once it dried up I started painting it with the chalk paints. I used Brink Pink and Fuchsia for colouring the lotus petals. For Buddha’s clothes I used Orange Pulp and gave highlights with Hot red . For the skin I used mocha colour. For the head I mixed Hot red and Spring green to make dark brown but you can use Walnut brown as well. Once my colours dried I outlined it with black colour. Then using fevibond I added a magnet on the back of the mdf base and my fridge magnet is ready. Isn’t it quick and super easy to make such a beautiful fridge magnet??

Do try making your fridge magnet and share a picture with me. I will be back soon with another interesting craft .

Till then Happy Crafting

Camp Memories ft. Papericious Woodland Walk

 Hello Friends!
Greetings for the day!
This is Parita Galani, here today with tutorial post featuring Papericious New Release - Woodland Walk. I hope all of you are in good health and had an amazing festive time.

This dreamy and fun paper pack made me nostalgic about my childhood camping trips, so I have made a Memory Box - Camp Memories to preserve those memories beautifully. If you have basic crafting tools and adhesive you will only need MDF box, Woodland Walk Paper Pack and its matching Cut & Create Embellishment Sheets. Instead of MDF Box you can use any good quality box you already have and reuse it.

So let's have a look at my project and its Step by Step Tutorial - Camp Memories

Step 1 - I have taken Papericious MDF Box for the base, painted it whole inside out in shade of greenish blue Chalk Paint.
Step 2 - I took 3 design papers from Woodland Walk Collection, one for the top and other two for the base and top of inside the box. I have trimmed the paper according to the exact size of my box. I have placed the papers with the help of Decoupage Glue.

Step 3 - I took out various fussy cut elements from the Paper Pack and Cut & Create Embellishment Sheets. I arranged and placed the fussy cut elements with the help of glue.
Step 4 - I also pasted some cute fussy cut elements on the top of inside of the box as shown below.
Step 5 - Lastly I varnished the complete box with Matte Finish Varnish. Tada! The box is ready to preserve memories more beautifully. You can put in photographs, any objects, souvenirs absolutely anything of your choice which takes you back to that memory lane.

Decoupage - Keepsake Box

Hello, this is Tanvi & Welcome back!
Today I have a pictorial of a keepsake box showcasing the Flora Season Decoupage papers.
For the box I wanted to retain the shabby colors & look of this decoupage paper but at the same time alter the look completely. Did I succeed? Please let me know!
Briefly here are the steps to create this gorgeous box.
Begin by carefully cutting the floral images.
Remove all the hardware from the box.
I selected chalk paints from my stash that coordinated well with the papers & painted the sides of the box.
Next trim the damask paper to the size of the lid & decoupage it. Let dry.
To enhance the shabby look I wanted to create a doily effect over this pattern. So I will use doilies as stencil.
I painted over the lid with dark red chalk paint.
Once done carefully lift the doilies & viola you have a beautiful doily pattern, gorgeous, isn't it! (Tip:Make sure to lift off the doily before the paint dries)
After this I decoupaged the floral motifs over the doily.
For the base I created bands of the two contrasting colors by, masking over the painted base.
Finished the box with 3 layers of varnish & light sanding between each layer.
Here are some closeups of the box -
A creative start to 2019 for me......this is already my 3rd post 😊 & hoping to continue inspiring you all with the amazing new launches by Papericious.
Thanks for stopping by today & Happy Decoupaging!
Love,
