"Down at the Grosvenor" by Tina Ollett

Hello and welcome Papericious friends.
Tina here with you today to share a layout created with gorgeous Papericious goodies. This project I have titled "Down at the Grosvenor"......

My title name came about simply because this is the place where my children use to love to go on a weekend or in the school holidays when they were very young. Catching red claw was what they loved to do there and just simply explore the surroundings. I loved it too and really do miss it so.

So more about the layout. For my project I used the products below. I firstly covered these very cute hot air balloons with a thick coverage of Papericious Crackle Paint and left these to dry for a couple of hours. The crackle effect is awesome. Once it was dried I cut one of the balloons in half length ways and then inked the edges and over the cracks with Distress Walnut Stain Ink.

I then started on my background page using my fave collection from Papericious - Fleur Fun. I have used the yellow spots and the yellow butterfly papers. The yellow spots were primed with a Clear Gesso and left to dry. I then added in strips running lengthways down the centre to the right edge of the page of the yellow butterfly paper. I also added in between some of these layers some corrugated board from an old box that I tore up. I adhered these and then also cut a photo mat from another sheet of the yellow butterfly. These were all adhered and then I added in some texture using a Cadence Stencil with Papericious Modelling Paste. This was left to dry. When it dried I painted a little of Natural White Papericious Chalk Paint over the corrugated pieces. I also added in a little random stamping with a script stamp and Distress Walnut Stain ink.

The Papericious Chipboard Collage piece Checkers was inked using some Walnut Stain Distress Ink. While it was still wet I added over some White Papericious Gesso just to lighten the darkness a little bit.

I then went to work on embellishing my layout. I firstly added in the Hot Air Balloons. The full Balloon to the right and under the photo. The other one which I previously cut in half was added under the photo and the left of the photo and the other half at the left of the layout. I worked on adding in some pretty florals in ginger and mushroom colours to co-ordinate with the yellow. I also added in some green leaves and hand dyed muslin.

I also added in a handmade Flourish mould. This was coloured with Distress Ink also. I added in cut up pieces of the Papericious Checkers Chipboard.
Lastly I dry brushed my project with a little White Gesso to keep with the shabby chic themed that I was wanting to have.

And that was it. I hope you enjoyed this project with me today.
Stay tuned for more fantastic projects from the Design Team coming your way.
Take care and happy crafting.

Decoupage - Wall Decor

Hello Crafty souls, welcome back!
Tanvi here today with a decoupage home decor post.
I started by painting a section of the wooden plaque using Bracket Green Chalk Paint & dry brushing with Natural White Chalk Paint.
Next I tore the background paper from Fly Away Decoupage Paper for my project & glued it to the base. I also used the other design paper from this set & decoupaged a mason jar.
Some stenciling for added texture & I had a beautiful home decor piece ready!
Here is a close up of the stenciling that coordinates so well with the pattern of the decoupage paper-
Used crackle paste to stencil the text-

Thanks for stopping by today & Happy Decoupaging!

"Wanderlust" by Tina Ollett

A very warm welcome Papericious friends. Tina here with you today with my last post before Christmas. As the year is winding down my workload has seemed to have doubled. But my love for what I do is still the same as when I started out 11 years ago. I still love to share all that I learn from my mistakes and the challenges I sometimes face. So today I would love to share with you my friends a layout, not a Christmas layout, but a beach layout!!
This is the time of the year here in Australia that finds our family at the beach more than ever. And this is one of those photos from years gone past. I absolutely adore this photo of my youngest and our furfriend Raphael. He loves the beach and water (typical labrador), but more than those two things he loves to keep our daughter Cydne safe, especially in the water. He will guide her and sometimes grab her arm and very gently pull her back to the waters edge. It is a beautiful thing to see and he has done this since he was very little. It must be a labrador instinctual thing to do. This is what I see when I look at this photo, a protector and a dear friend not matter what!
So when I printed this photo off, the colours for me were not what I was looking for, but the memory behind it definitely was. So I decided to change my photo to a black and white, and dim out the water a little to leave the focus of the two of them swimming out to sea.
My next step was choosing a paper. And for this layout I decided to go with the new release
Jack and Jill collection that you see below.

I also included some of the beautiful Wanderlust Collage Chippis.
 Wanderlust Collage Chippis

This is my project below........ "Wanderlust".

Once I came across the blue piece in the Jack and Jill collection I just knew that it would become a beach project combined with the Wanderlust Chippis. A great combination to start with. I did a lot of background mixed media work on the paper using clear gesso and Papericious Chalk Paint in Natural White. I have also used Distress Inks combined with the Natural White chalk paint to colour my flowers. Adding a drop of the ink into the Natural white instantly gave me the colours I was looking for. Perfect for changing up the flowers from 49andMarket that I have used here.

I also coloured some netting that I had in my collection. This was where I started layering and embellishing my layout. I used a 4 x 6 landscape photo, sanded the edges and also gave the edges some colour using the mixed colours and then mounted it on 3D foam tape to give my layout more dimension.

Here you can see my Anchor from the Wanderlust Collage Chippis Set. It was firstly crackled in white paste and allowed to dry. I inked the edges of it with Black Soot Distress Ink and then coloured it with my paint colour mixes. I popped in some shells and art stones too. These were again all coloured.

The font for the Wanderlust title from the Chippi Collage set is just stunning. I love it!! This was simply inked in Black Soot Distress Ink. In the photo above you can see the random stamping that I did also.

Another view of the Anchor. You can see the layers made with the netting, flowers, chipboard and then more flowers along with the Art Stones and Shells.

Well that is all from me today. I do hope you enjoyed my project for today. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very safe and happy Christmas and a most merry New Year from my family to yours. I will see you all again in the New Year.

Take care .......

Whimsical Box Card

Hello everyone,
Heena here from bloomingpaperbuds.com, Today I have an Altered project to share it is a Mixed media box card using the Whimsical Paper pack.
Here I have altered the broken half of an mdf box that I had previously decoupaged on. The decoupaged box also looked pretty but I think the altered version looks prettier and I have kept this on my desk because I just love having flowers or something pretty on my desk to look at. You can also create this using the Papericious mdf shadow boxes

The outer and inner sides of the box are covered with pattern papers and the base is primed with Heavy white gesso and I also have applied some White crackle paste.
The oval frame is fussy cut from the journal sheet available in the paper pack, It just looked so pretty that I decided to use it in my Project and turns out that me and design team member Erum coincidently came up with a similar creative idea. Check out her card if you haven't already, it looks super pretty and elegant!

All the other elements are fussy cut from the cut and create sheet  and the sentiment is fussy cut from the quote sheet, I have also used some sequins from the Sugar plum sequins mix. Lastly, I finished by sprinkling some Twinkling spark to add that Whimsical touch to my project.

Hope you found my creation Inspirational, Thank you for stopping by!

Altered Photo Frame -- Believe

Namaste Friends!!

Kriti this side....so the month is ending....and I am here with an inspiration post today....
I have altered a photo frame using some art mediums by papericious and Papericious Fairy land Paper Pack.

Have a look..

We all experience times where we doubt ourselves, and somehow we lose track of what's important for us. We lose the belief in ourselves, and we get drifted away, and later on we regret our decisions, that's why I decided to make a project so that failure can be our teacher not our undertaker.

If you believe in yourself and have dedication- and never quit, you'll be a winner. Believe in yourself, take on the challenges, dig deep within yourself to conquer fears. You got to keep going.

Brief about the project

Firstly, I have taken a mdf photo frame and adhere some rectangle mdf pieces to make some bricks at two corners, then to make the background more interesting put some gauge also. Next, covered the entire piece with Papericious White Gesso.

After that I have used Papericious White Crackle Paste on the bricks. When it was completely dried, poured some pink colour in the gaps of the bricks.

And lastly embellished it with some flowers, sisal, gauge, pearls and few die- cuts.

Few more pictures of the project...

I hope you like this project..
Thanks for stopping by..
