Key Holder + Decoupage Paper
Hi everyone,
If you love altering and making things look pretty and unique using decoupage papers are the best option. The new decoupage papers released by Papericious are absolutely gorgeous and can give different looks to your projects. For today’s project I selected a vintage masculine paper pattern and altered an old keyring hanger. The hanger looked very boring and unattractive but after just few steps it turns out to be a great piece of art & decor.
So let me show the simple steps involved to make this project.
Step 1:
I cleaned the wooden hanger nicely and then added a generous coat of Papericous Decoupage glue with a flat paint brush.
Step 2:
I glued the brown plaid paper on the hanger and tried to remove all the air bubbles. Then I allowed it to dry completely.
Step 3:
I used a sharp pair of scissors, trimmed the edges and removed all the extra paper around. Next I fussy cut the old vintage car image from the paper and glued it on top of the plaid paper with the Papericous Decoupage glue. I also painted the glue on top to seal the entire image and project. This step makes it sturdy and weather proof.
Step 5:
I used some metal gears to finish the project and those subtle embellishments make the project even more unique and put together.
Here are few more pictures of the project.
