DIY File Holder

Hi lovely people,
Today I will be sharing with you an easy tutorial on making a file holder featuring my favorite set of Papericious pattern papers
I have made two sizes of file holders to keep my 12"x 12" and 6"x 6"  pattern papers all organised and sorted.
Making these was on my list for sometime now.So lets start with the tutorial.
I have taken corrugated sheet(from old packaging) and cut them to sizes which fits in 12x12" and 6x6" papers easily.
Large File Holder: 2 pcs (13" x 11.5 "); 1 pc (13"x 4"); 1 pc (11.5"x 4")
 Small File Holder: 2 pcs (7" x 3.5"); 1 pc ( 8.5"x 7"); 1 pc (7" x 3.5")
For getting all the sides together I have used painters tape, you can also use got glue gun to adhere all the sides in place.

I have painted the edges of the corrugated sheet using the country grey chalk paint (Large file holder). This is how it looks when taped.

I have painted the edges with  brick red chalk paint (small file holder).
Next step took Azalein paper pack and trimmed papers to respective sides (approx. 1cm smaller).

For the smaller file holder I have used the Ethereal paper pack and trimmed the pattern paper (approx. 1cm smaller).

I have embellished the file holder with some fussy cut images and flowers and lace.

That's all from my side.
Hope the easy tutorial inspired you to create one for yourself.

Dream n Believe desk organiser

 Hi creative people,
Have you checked the new release from Papericious( Part 1 and  Part 2). There are some lovely prints and white chipboard designs waiting for you.
For my today's project I would be using the gorgeous papers from the Ethereal paper pack and the new range of mdf desk organisers from Papericious.
After the mdf shadow boxes i love the new desk organisers and that too in so many designs to choose from. Now I know atleast half the mess on my craft table would be creatively sorted.

Also my favourites are the White Chippis. These are ivory colour, soft and intricate designs of chipboards. They are 1.2 mm thick. You can paint them with any medium but I prefer using them as it is. These are super pretty.

Let's start with painting the mdf desk organiser at the edges and inner walls, rest I would be using the designs from the Ethereal paper pack for decoupage.
Have used the Bracket green and Brick red chalk  paints.
The best part of this paper pack is it comes with coordinating cardstock in two colors , also Papericious chalk paints coordinate well with the color scheme of the pack.
This pack has  a Journal Sheet, Quote Sheet, and a Cut & Create Element page. I have done a bit of  fussing cutting to give more depth to the walls of the desk caddy. I have used foam tape to put on these little fussy cut images. I have also inked the edges of the papers using Archival coffee ink.

Hope you like desk organiser. This one is going on my table soon.
Keep crafting!!

Treat box & card duo

 Hi lovely people,
Today I am back with one of my favourite set of embellishments, the Papericious 3D mini shakers.
Also part of my project is the gorgeous Love Actually  paper pack. I would be using the Papericious ready to use treat boxes.

I am using the spellbinders classic scalloped circle die to get a scalloped diecut for the semi circular treat box flaps. I have inked the edges of the pattern paper with some archival ink to finish the edges.

I have used the beautiful papers from the paper pack on the outer faces of the treat box. These treat boxes comes in various shapes and you just need to remove the tape backing and within minutes you have your gifting solution ready.
And here comes the best part...the 3d mini shakers. For the treat box I plan to have a closure band embellished with a simple shaker. Paint the mini shakers using the lovely range of Papericious chalk paints. I have used Brick Red chalk paint. You can paint the inner face of just stick pattern paper.
I have fussy cut a sentiment from the collage sheet which comes in the paper pack and than left it free with other shaker beads. One thing I love about these shakers is they come complete with the transparent sheet cut to actual size.

Next for the band I took 1.5 inch x12 inch pattern paper and scored it according to the thickness of the treat box. Just keep in mind that the band should slip on and off the box easily.

To coordinate with the treat box I have made simple card.
Take 5 inch x 12 inch base. Score at 3 inch and 9 inch. Next take another cardstock piece measuring 11.5 cm x 14 cm. I have used a corner chomper to give round edges.

Layer the cardstock with pattern paper, approx. 1/8th inch smaller than the base of the card.

After adhering all the pattern papers, lets get started with embellishing the card face.
I have painted the star shaped 3d mini shaker with gold acrylic paint and fussy cut a sentiment from the collage sheet. I just love the shaker beads from Papericious, these are perfect to complete your projects.

Hope you get inspired to try these.
