Purple Blooms for you

Hi Friends,
Wish you a very happy and prosperous new year! I am so excited for the new year which comes with new challenges and loads of new craft supplies. For today’s project I made a shabby chic canvas. I used the Papericious new Decoupage paper, Chalk paints, Crackle paste and Decoupage glue.

Step 1
I took a 5”x 7” Canvas board and painted it with Papericious Black Chalk Paint. Allowed it to dry completely.

Step 2
Next I used a spatula and coated the canvas with Papericious Crackle Modeling Paste, which creates the most beautiful cracks and gives a nice distressed look.

Step 3
I selected a gorgeous decoupage paper and used my sharp pair of scissors to fussy cut the flower cluster.

Step 4
I used the Papericious Decoupage glue to stick the cut outs and few die cut leaves to complete the project.

Step 5
To jazz up the canvas I used few sequins and a sentiment and that finished the pretty canvas.

I hope you liked today’s project and will give it a try.

Hugs

Mixed Media Art - Lotus Pond + Video Tutorial!

Hello,

This is Ujjwal and today I am sharing another mixed media project. I am in love with the recently released art mediums by Papericious and can't stop using them.

This lotus pond scene has been in my mind for a long time and Mudra Lotus stamp was perfect for it. I used the beautiful Femina paper which already had a watercolor print and that reduced my effort of painting the flowers. The art work measures 6"x8" and would make a lovely gift.

Here's the complete process video of how I created this art piece,

I hope you enjoyed this project and would give it a try.
Thanks, Ujjwal

Shikara- Mixed Media Canvas by Shilpa

Hello Everyone,
Shilpa here,

Papericious' Incredible India collection has beautiful papers showing Indian colors, culture, and places.
I've used few background papers and lovely picture of  Shikara (Boat in Dal Lake) as my focal point.

here is making process...

I made strips of design papers and adhered them on canvas to create layers and textures.

Next I applied light texture paste through bubble stencil.
Let it dry completely.

I used blue spray colors in different shades on the surface.

I cut out this "Shikara" and enhanced its colors with markers pens.

adhered few pebbles and stones...

And here is the final look of my mixed media canvas.

Hope you enjoyed ...
thanks so much for stopping by.

Valentine's Day Canvas with "If Only Paper Pack"

Hello Everyone,
Shilpa here,
And I am very happy to share with you my first project at Papricious Blog today.
I've created mixed media canvas using Papericious new collection- "If Only" specially for Valentine's day.

I've used three pattern papers and several cut out designs from this paper collection.

To start with, I attached text paper to the canvas, created texture on it with Prima modeling paste. Let it dry completely.

I cut out hearts, frames and several other designs from the collection and arranged it with other embellishments.

Cute lil' butterfly is also from "if only" collection.
I love that blue ornate frame behind flowers.

I've used Colour Arte Twinkling H2os in the background. "Celebrate Love" is a diecut words from black card stock.

And here is final look of the canvas

Hope you enjoyed this and got inspired!
Do try this new "If Only" collection for any wedding, engagement or Valentine's day projects.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
