Ideas with Decoupage Supplies

Hello folks,

We're back on the blog and today we have fun projects to share with you. We've used the new Decoupage Supplies by Papericious- the Papers and the Glue and we enjoyed using them.

The papers are easy to use and come in two sizes - 6" x 6" and 8" x 8". They come as a set of two perfectly coordinating patterns. The quality of the paper is great- not too thick nor too thin, just right to be able to decoupage. The designs are amazing, and versatile.

The Decoupage Glue is fantastic as well. What we loved the most about this glue is that it remains tacky for a little longer, giving us enough time to play with our paper placement.   The Papericious Decoupage Glue comes in two sizes - 60 g and 200 g.

Onto our inspirations for you...

First up, an altered metal tin...
For this we used one 6" x 6" sheet from the Pretty Peonies Set. We first primed our tin with Papericious Heavy Gesso White. Then using the new Decoupage Glue we adhered the paper. For our lid, we kept it simple- sprayed some Baby Pink Spritz, added jute cord, lace and a fabric bloom.

Next up is a Journal Spread.
For this we used the second 6" x 6" sheet from the Pretty Peonies Set. We fussy cut the big floral elements as well as the smaller ones. We've incorporated them with a stamp. For colour, we've used the Spritz Sprays and given a watercolour effect.

Shaker card

Hello crafties,
This is Diana  showing you my last creation.

For this Shaker card I used; Back to Basics paper pack.
Later on you will see how I combine those patterns.

Papericious released wide collection of Shaker Chipboards. It has never been that easy to make a shaker. Just perfect. For my card I used 3D shaker chipboard: Fancy tag.
It includes 4 layer of chipboard and 1 acrylic cutout. As you see I took yellow pattern and made a sketch around the bottom part of the chipboard. then I cut it and glue it above.

I decided to choose this sweetie girl from old Swedish company Hänglar and colored with Distress Markers. Afterwords I glue it on the yellow pattern and stamped "Shine".

July release has many Sequin mixes.  I used Sequin mix Spring

I put Sequins inside the frame and covered with rest of Chipboard layers. The top layer I painted with Black gesso.

The  Background I cut different patterns in squares. And on the side I used Jute cord baby blue.

I hope you like my Shaker card.
Hugs
DT Diana

Indie Chic card

Hello, Monika here.
Today I would like to show you a card made with Indie Chic papers.

Indie Chis is a collection full of colours, so I made a card with an unusual colour combo.

At the bottom of my floral cluster I adhered piece of Moroccan latice chipboard painted turquoise and  I made some light turquoise flowers with Sigma cardstock, added chipboards painted white: Leaves chipboards and Leaf flourish chipboards; lace leaves and some turquiose cord. To make flowers sparkling I used fabulous Frosting Powder.

Shagun Envelope Tutorial - Dimensional Gift Envelopes for cash gifts!

Hello,

This is Ujjwal and today I am sharing a tutorial on how to make a dimensional gift envelope or a shagun envelope. Cash gifts are pretty common in India, especially at weddings, so I thought it would be fun to create a dimensional envelope using The Wedding Collection Kit.

And here's how the back side looks like. I added a pearl with twine to the flap for little more interest.

And here's how I made it.
Start with a 9.75" X 7.5" piece of cardstock. I used the beautiful pearl cardstock from "The Wedding" Kit.
Score and cut as per the template below.

This is how the cardstock will look like after scoring.

At this point, you can decide how to decorate and what kind of closure you would want for the back flap of the envelope. I decided to give the flap a simple triangular cut and a velcro closure but you can use decorative dies, laces or whatever else you fancy. Instead of velcro, you could use a magnetic or a ribbon closure.

Fold the envelope and glue the bottom flap so that it forms the envelope shape like this

And then decorate and embellish as you like. I used the pattern papers from "The Wedding" Collection, some mulberry flowers and pollens and liquid pearls to decorate the front. I left the back simple with a little twine and pearl add on.

I hope you enjoyed this project and tutorial!
