Upcycled Gift Hamper Tray

  Hello friends,

Hope you are doing good and ready for a wonderful weekend! This is Priti here, and I am so excited to share another beautiful inspiration with you using the Decoupage papers and Decoupage mediums from Papericious. 
You don't need expensive supplies to glam up your gifting. I had this mdf tray with me which I had received as a Diwali gift hamper last year. I thought that it would be so wonderful to upcycle it and use it as a home decor piece or as a gift hamper tray for my gifting needs. So I grabbed a beautiful floral Decoupage Paper from Papericious, their glue and varnish and some paints, and converted this raw mdf tray into a beautiful piece of art.

I have fallen in love with the Papericious Decoupage Glue. It is absolutely amazing and gives such a wonderful finish. I did some stenciling on all the corners and added clay embellishments on the two sides of the tray to make it even more attractive. The edges were done using an antique gold wax from my stash which matched with the colour of the leaves in this beautiful Decoupage paper.

 These Papericious Decoupage Papers are so gorgeous and you can use them in so many different ways and on any kind of base. As a sealer, I have used two coats of the Papericious Matte Varnish which gives the projects such a nice matte finish.

I am super happy with the result of this upcycled project and cant wait to gift this tray to someone special. I think I might use it to pack some wonderful goodies for my mom on the occasion of Mothers Day this Sunday. I really hope you liked the transformation of this tray and will leave me some love. "Fly Away" Decoupage Tray by Swati.

Swati this side from Swati's Crafting World. Hope y'all are doing great.

When you've solid stunning MDF  trays, they do most of the heavy lifting for you, meaning it's not very hard to make them look nice. With just a little creativity & a few supplies, you can 
make wooden trays stand out to be the star. I love wooden trays because of their
 versatility. They're quintessential, can be used to serve food, as a centerpiece, to store things, 
or even to decorate wall, & the options are endless.

Today I'm gonna show you how to work with decoupage on a wooden tray. My today's post features -
Papericious - MDF Trays.
Papericious - Fly Away Decoupage Papers.
Papericious - Decoupage Glue.

ON TO MY CREATION :


STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL :

1. I've used sand paper & rubbed the corners of the tray properly so that the finishing comes out crisp & clean.

2. Then, I've painted the tray with acrylic white paint as a base coat. I did so because it helps in enhancing the colour done after.

3. When the acrylic paint has dried up, I've applied dark brown colour twice, so that colour comes out clean.

4. After the brown paint has dried up, I've applied a thin layer of Decoupage Glue, sticked the paper & smoothen it with a piece of sponge (in one direction) making sure no air bubbles trapped inside.
5. After the paper is totally dry, I've cut the extra paper with a craft knife.

6. Now. I've applied a generous coat of Decoupage Glue all over the piece in order to seal the paper & let it dry for minimum of two hours.

Tadda! Tray is ready to use.

Fly Away Decoupage Tray by Nikkita Sethi


Hello everyone,
This is Nikkita here and today I am back to the Papericious blog with a new decoupage inspirational post using gorgeous DECOUPAGE Papers and MDF Bases exclusively by PAPERICIOUS .

I have made this tray using Fly Away Decoupage Papers and Chalk Paints and Decoupage Glue all from Papericious.
I have used stencil and twine from my stash to complete the tray and then sealed with varnish.

Decouoage Tray using Flora Season Collection


Hello Papericious fans!
Priya here,
I am super excited to share my Decoupage project with you guys using Papericious Flora Season Decoupage Collection.
I am trying Decoupage for the first time and all thanks to Papericious team for giving me this opportunity..

Here it is, enjoy:
I have made this set of trays just using one Decoupage Paper.. Isn't it amazing?

I used Crackle Medium and also did some stencilling on my tray, and sealed them with varnish.

Further, I rolled some jute twine around the grips to give it rustic look.
