Fabric Flowers tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last July post made for Papericious blog.
Irit from Irit Shalom's Designs is here today and
this time I was asked  to make a tutorial using Papericious most gorgeous fabric flowers from the last release.
So as all of us already made Mixed Media pieces and scrapbooking layouts and cards with these flowers I decided to make an altered necklace and it's a real wearable art piece.

And as always I made a small (really small this time) tutorial how to create this necklace.

1. Paint a few pieces of Papericious chipboard with Papericious Black Heavy gesso and let them dry.

2.Use proper adhesive and add black and gold embossing powder over the black painted chipboards.
I used the old products that I have in my stash, but any embossing powder adhesive (clear inks etc) and any mix of black and gold powders will do the job.

3.Mist the fabric Papericious flowers with black mist and let them dry.The big black flower was originally hot pink one.

4.Add Papericious Crystal Clear glitter using Glossy Accents over the black flowers.

5. Arrange the necklace using the heat embossed chipboard pieces, misted and white flowers and some Papericious lace and gold jewelry findings from your stash.
To be sure that this piece is wearable I added a thick layer of clear resin over the back of painted and heat embossed chipboards. This step takes a lot of time because of the very long drying time, but it's totally " must to do" step if you leave in the hot country like mine.

And another look at the finished necklace:

Mixed Media Dream Catcher

Hello my crafty friends.

This is Diana once again.

Today I am showing you a Mixed Media canvas 55 cm x 40 cm. I just love the dream catcher new chipboards. What a great variety of design. and even few sizes too.
First I tried to build the composition and took some of the items I thought will work together. Laces, chipboards, wood frames, metal charms and more. During the process I changed some of the items.
When I glued everything I covered with new black Gesso and some Inka gold for the finish.

Background:  I found some old net that I kept from som package I received. I glued it and when it dried I covered with black Gesso. And highlighted with Inka gold.

I used so many different products:
Chipboards: Gears, Keys, Criss Cross, Moroccon lattice.
Flowers:  Fabric flowers blooms.
Lace: Fancy chain
Jute Cord - Baby Blue

The bottom part of the Canvas  is a Dream Catcher. For that I used the Small dream catcher Chipboard package and the feathers from the Heart dream catcher chipboard package.
Flowers: Blooms. The Dream catcher I painted with Black gesso and with Inka gold and afterwords I used Embossing powder Frontage. Feathers chipboards I covered with 3 different glitter colors.

Here are some products I used making this canvas

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you loved this Canvas

Money Envelopes Using Whimsical Papers

Hello All!
This is Priya here to share projects I created using new Whimsical Papers from Papericious. I am simply in love with the colors and designs. The pack is true to it's name - Whimsical!!!
I made 2 money envelopes using the pack.
Money Envelope - 1

I used the pale green cardstock that comes in the pack to create the base of the envelope. I cut a piece of cardstock into 6.5W x 8.5L inches and scored along the 8.5 length at 2.5 and 5.5 inches and folded it so each panel will be of the size 2.5, 3 and 3 inches. I created the curved scallop edge for the front by using MFT Stitched Scallop basic edges die.
Then I layered the envelope base with pattern papers. I sandwiched the ribbons between base envelope and pattern papers at front and back. The Whimsical scrapbook kit also comes with a diecut sheet. I fussy cut some images from the sheet and layered it to create embellishment. I also used Fabric Flowers (FL5001). The colors were matching up with the Whimsical paper pack.

Here is a closer look of the fabric flowers.
Paper Envelope - 2

Here is another one I made using the Whimsical paper pack. For this I created the base of the envelope using Purple color cardstock that comes in the pack. The measurements for this is same as first envelope and the process too.
To embellish it, I used Modern Ornate pattern chippie. I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder and cut it to fit the front of the envelope.

Here is a closer look at the flowers that I fussy cut from the diecut sheet.

This is the inside of the paper envelope. The 2.5 side will act like a pocket to keep the money.

Closing the post with both envelopes together!
Products used :
Whimsical Paper Kit
Fabric Flowers(FL5001)
Modern Ornate pattern Chipboard
I hope you liked my envelopes. if you do, please leave a comment!
Have a great day!

Shadow box

Hello friends
This is Diana and today I will show you my Shadow box.

I have made this Shadow box for a dear friend of mine for her 40's birth day.
I really hope She will like it.
Here I used the Die cuts from the Whimsical pack and I cut few of the same flowers to make 3D layers. I chalked with vintage photo Distress and I used my Blending tools.
I added some Shabby Bricks from chipboard collection to give it more feeling of the house wall.
I used some White gesso on the bricks.

At the bottom you can see the new beautiful collection of the fabric flowers.
I added som small bottles for the decorations and filled them up with some white sequins.
On the big bottle on the right I added number 40 since she turning 40. I preferred to make those as small as possible so she wont feel as 40. :)

Here you can see the close up for the die cuts.At the window I used same fabric flowers to make a curtain.

The backside of the box: I cut the beautiful card from the Whimsical and made is as packet. Inside I cut some 2 tags if she would like to write something.

Here is the front of the Shadow box. The background of the box is a pattern from Whimsical. Just gorgeous colors and design.

Hope you like that project
