Easy and Elegant Christmas Cards using Winter Rimes

Hello Peeps!
This is Priya here from priya-n-papers. My favorite month of the year is here! December! It marks the start of winters and christmas celebrations! To get into the Christmassy mood, Papericious has introduced very beautiful and elegant paper pack called Winter Rimes. It has beautiful winter patterns and elements that will help you to whip up some awesome winter projects. To cater to both card makers and 3D project makers, the pack comes in 6x6 and 12x12 size.
This time, I designed 4 cards and created 8 cards in total, 2 of each design. The papers are so pretty in itself and I didn't had to do much to finish up these cards. Let's take a look at each design.
Card Design 1 : Winter Birds
For this card, I highlighted the winter birds and Holly foliage designs. I stamped the sentiment directly onto pattern paper. I love how Papericious pattern papers can hold crisp stamping impressions. I added some snow effect by die cutting a white piece of cardstock with stitched snow drift dies and adhered a die cut glitter snow flake.
Here is a close up with winter bird and crisp stamping on pattern paper.

Card Design 2 :
The pack has some beautiful wooden patterns bordered with pines, feathers, berries, holly and other wintery elements. I highlighted the pattern in my second card by adding an elegant sentiment. I also did some in lay die cutting by using stitched ornament dies. I just cannot explain the beauty of this card in real. I think I am going to keep one for myself. :P
Let's a take a close look at the in laid die cut ornament.

Card Design 3 :
In card design 3, I used the beautiful snow covered lantern surrounded by winter birds. This is such a heart warming scene that signifies that a little joys of life means a lot. I finished up the card by adding stitched border and added glittered die cut sentiment.
Here is a closer look.

Card Design 4 :
In this card I tried to do something different. I made Poinsettia flowers using Poinsettia dies. I die-cut from the same paper pack and stick it on to another panel with wood background to signify wreath on a door. I hope I am able to achieve that!
Here is a close up of my Poinsettia flower.

Tutorial Part 2 : Making Mini Albums : Different ways of Using 12x12 Cardstock

Hi All,
I hope you all liked 2 mini albums I shared with you previously made out of 12x12 cardstock. I couldn't stop myself and made few more. Today I am showcasing one more mini album which has multiple pages and pockets to keep messages and stick photos/notes etc.
It's a 3x3 inches album with 16 3x3 inches pages.  I have used Femina Paper pack to decorate my mini album. The theme of  my mini is "Love" which anyone can give it to their loved ones. Here is the front look.
I have used MFT Because You stamps and dies, Scalloped edges dies, Stitched flowers dies and Corners dies to accentuate the mini album.
Let's have a look at the individual pages.
For each page, the left side will hold photos while right one has a pocket to keep my messages.
Isn't the girl from Papericious Femina pack diecut sheet is super cute and stylish? I fussy cut various elements from Femina diecut sheets to decorate the inside pages and pockets.
Since the album had 8 pockets, I created 8 2.25x2.25 inches message tags of different types. I stamped various sentiments from MFT Because You stamp set on back of Papericious Femina papers. I also used Papericious Pink Jute cord to create the pullout.
Since few of the sentiments were longer in length, I cut 4.5x2.25 inches pattern paper and folded into half so that it can fit into the 2.5 inches pockets. Here are all the tags when opened. Isn't the sentiments cute? I also decorated the insides by die cutting stitched flower dies from Papericious Femina Papers.
Here is how the tags fit into the pockets.
Another look with all the tags kept inside and album tied up with Papericious pink ribbon.
Here is a brief pictorial of how I created the base of the album.
Step 1 : Score the 12x12 paper at 3,6 and 9 inches. Rotate the paper and score the other side at 3,6 and 9 inches at well. it will give you 12 3x3 inches squares.
Step 2: Score and cut as shown in the picture. Start folding each 3x3 inches square. Once it reaches to the end, fold over to next row and glue these 2 square together.
It's easy peasy to put it together and looks really cute too.
I hope you enjoyed the 3 albums I shared and showcasing different ways to use 12x12 sheets of cardstock.

Tutorial Part 1 : Making Mini Albums : Different ways of Using 12x12 Cardstock

Hi All,
This is Priya here to share very interesting tutorial with you.  Most of the Papericious kits comes with 12x12 cardstock which we can use for layering and making base. But do you know that you can use these 12x12 sheets in different ways to create cute mini albums and journals? just score and cut in different ways to create super easy projects. Today I am sharing 2 of such ways to use those 12 inches cardstocks. In my next post I will share few more ways. I have used glossy cream cardstock from The Wedding Paper pack.
Also, I am showcase the newly release Let's Go Paper pack and chipboards which is actually on travel theme. So before you leave for any vacation, make few of these, put it in your backpack and document your journey along the way! How fun it will be!
Style 1 : 3 Flap Pocket Album
This is basically a 4 x 4.5 inches mini with 3 folding flaps and 9 pockets. You can add or reduce the number of pockets and decorate it as per your choice.
Procedure :
Here are the basic instructions on how to create it's base from 12x12 sheet of paper.

Step 1 : Score the paper as per the instructions shown in Pic A
Step 2 : Cut and fold along the scored lines as shown in Pic B.
You can enlarge the pics to look at the measurements and folds closely.
Here are few detailed pictures on how I decorated it. The Let's Go paper pack comes with diecut sheets as usual. It has very interesting journal cards which we can use as inserts and document our journey on it. This mini has extra space to keep extra stuff like pictures, tickets, etc.
The pack has pattern paper with boarding passes printed on it. I fussy cut these and used it as inserts. Fill up each boarding pass as you transit from one city to another. isn't it fun?
Here are few more pictures will all the inserts out.

Style 2 : Accordion Mini Book with gatefold cover
This is about 3.5 x 3 inches book with a cover of about 4.5 x 4 inches.  The book is accordion in style which is very easy to make.
Procedure :
Here is a 3 step tutorial on how I created the base of it.
Step 1 : Score the 12x12 inches paper as shown in Pic A
Step 2 : Cut the paper as shown in Pic B. You will get 3 pieces; 2 for the inner accordion book and one for the cover
Step 3 : Fold the pieces as shown in Pic C and glue 2 end panels of accordion to make it one long accordion.
Now the base is ready and you can decorate it as per your liking.
Let's me unfold my mini now!
I decorated both sides of accordion. For this mini book, I didn't created any pockets. I rather created photo corners to add the photos for each destination I will visit. That's why I have numbered the opposite side of mini. The numbering can be treated as days like day 1, day 2 etc or like cities/places you will visit.
The corners are glued only at the outer edges. The other side is left open to slide the photos in.

Elegant and Fun cards with Femina Paper Pack

Hi All!
This is Priya here. I hope you all enjoyed all the fun games Papericious team hosted for it's 2nd Birthday Celebrations!
Today I am here to share 2 cards I made using Femina Paper Pack. This is the first paper pack with gold foil. And believe me it's just perfect. I really liked the color combination. I really liked the fact that the paper pack is filled with some elegant as well as some fun designs.
I have made 2 cards using this pack and I totally loved working with these papers. I also used the sturdy cardstock that comes in the pack to create base of my cards.
Card 1 : Elegant Thinking of you card

This is 7x5 inches card. I kept this card simple as the colors and patterns speaks for itself. I used stripped and a chevron pattern paper to make a contrasting background.
I then fussy cut the beautiful flowers from the die cut sheet and adhered some glitter enamel dots.
Here is a closeup of the flowers. Aren't these pretty?

Card 2 : Fun stepper birthday card
This is again a 7x5 inches 3 stepper card. The Femina paper pack have some very cute hot air ballon diecut images. So I thought to make a fun fold card.  I took 3 different pattern papers from the pack and diecut at different length using clouds die from MFT to create a scene of flying hot air balloons into the clouds over Eiffel Tower. Isn't it fun?
Here is a side view of the stepper. To create the stepper, I took 5x9 piece of cardstock and scored at 1, 2, 3.5, 5 and 7 inches and fold it in a zig zag fashion.
I also wanted to show this cute Eiffel Tower and the ribbon banners that comes in the diecut sheet to Femina paper pack. For the sentiment, since acrylic stamps can be flexed a little, I took a little Happy birthday acrylic stamp and bend it little to fit in the banner.
I hope you liked these cards I made using Papericious pack. Don't forget to join us at Papericious April Challenge - Add Shaker Element.
