Now back to the theme - Gifts Galore. I love gifting unique handmade decoupage items. For today's theme I have made a birdhouse with a coordinating tag using the Flora Season Decoupage Paper

Sharing some close ups of the birdhouse now. I have decoupaged two sides & done a bit of stenciling over the decoupage.

To add some texture to the roof, I have used one step crackle medium.

Here is the coordinating tag -

We also have my teamie Parul sharing her inspiration for this challenge.
Lets see what she has for you -
I wanted to gift something to my mom and what could be better than a set of cash envelopes. So I came up with this set. It has got 10 money envelopes and a keepsake box to keep them all.  I also made a matching tag with it :)  And she really loved this present.
I used "Hooked" Paper Pack from Papericious.

That's all from us today & hope you will all share the handmade gifts made for this festive season & join the September Challenge.

Tutorial : Cute Name Banner using Little Ms. Muffet Pattern Papers

Hello everyone!
Parul here with yet another inspiration post. Today I am sharing a Name Nanner I have made for my 3 months old niece Anayta. :) She is planning to come to my place next month and I thought it will be good to have a name banner for her room. :)

I have used two pattern paper packs to make this banner, first being Little Ms. Muffet and second being, Pretty Pixie. The left paper with polka dots is from Little Ms. Muffet and I chose this paper to make base for my banner's pennants. Second paper on right side with stripes is from Pretty Pixie. I loved these ombre stripes on it and thought of cutting letters from it.
And here you can have a look at the banner.

Tutorial

Step 1
Cut 4"x4" squares from polka dot pattern paper and round their corners using corner punch.
Step 2
Cut alphabets in the name with the help of alphabet dies or digital die cutting machine.
Step 3
Adhere the alphabets on the pennants with the help of foam tape to give them some dimension and they now look as following.
Step 4
Now you need to fussy cut some elements from Pretty Pixie Pattern Papers like I did or you can use other embellishments from your stash.
Step 5
Now embellish all the pennants however you like.
Step 6
Now make two holes in each pennant at same place with a normal punch and pass a matching ribbon through all pennants.

And the banner is ready to use :)
Hope you liked the tutorial post. Please let me know in comments.

Fun Nursery Decor using Star Gazer - Tutorial

Hello everyone!
This is Parul here! Hope you are enjoying the New Release from Papericious which is filled with loads of cuteness. :) Today, I bring to you a fun nursery decor piece with tutorial which I have made for my cute little nephew Ahaan who is just few months old.

To begin, I selected all the material needed for this decor piece. I took two pattern papers from Star Gazer Paper Pack, one light blue with polka dots and one navy blue with stars.

I first cut a 10" wide cloud from light blue polka dot pattern paper and kept it aside. I also cut this cloud from a thick plain card stock and stick patterned cloud on it so that cloud can be extra strong.

Later, I cut 9 drops (each 4" tall) from dark blue starred pattern paper.

Next, I stitched these drops with one another with my sewing machine 3 drops in one strand.

I also took 2-3 embellishments from Ohh Baby Chippis and coloured them with blue brush marker to go with same colour theme.

I die cut the letters in Ahaan's name twice and then stacked them to bring thickness as embellishments.

Now is the time to assemble
First, I adhered the names and embellishments on the cloud and then the strands of rain drops :)
Later I made two holes in cloud and put a ribbon through it to make the hanging arrangement.

Hope you liked this. I would love to know :)
Thanks!

Parul
