Gift Folio ft. 'Blooms N Berries' Tutorial

Hello friends!
This is Priti here, and I am here to share an inspiration project using the "Blooms & Berries" collection and the "Cut & Create Embellishment Sheets" from Papericious. This paper pack is absolutely stunning with gorgeous prints and florals. So I decided to make a love theme folio which I am planning to gift to my brother and his wife on their anniversary; and I am super happy with the result. The folio looked so pretty with these beautiful papers and cut & create embellishments. I also have a tutorial to share and I had worked out the measurements specially keeping these papers and the photo needs in mind.

Let's have a look at few more pictures and close ups before I take you through the pictorial tutorial.

Here is the tutorial. I have tried to keep it simple by writing all the measurements on the pieces also along with the scoring details.

Step 1: Base Page - Cut a piece of card stock measuring 9 3/8"x 11"

Step 2: Left side Flap - Cut a piece of card stock measuring 6.75"x 11". Score at 0.5" on the 6.75" side and apply double sided tape on the bumpy side.

Step 3: Right side flap - Cut a piece of card stock measuring 9 7/8"x11". Score at 0.5" on the 9 7/8" side and apply double sided tape on the bumpy side.

Step 4: Right side pocket - Cut a piece of card stock measuring 6.75"x 11 7/8". Score at 0.5" on the 6.75" side. Turn the piece and again score at 0.5" on both the sides of the 11 7/8" side. Apply double sided tape on the dented side and miter the corners as shown.

Step 5: Left side pocket - Cut a piece of card stock measuring 3.5"x7 1/8". Score at 0.5" on the 3.5" side. Turn the piece and again score at 0.5" on both the sides of the 7 1/8" side. Apply double sided tape on the dented side and miter the corners.

Step 6: Remove the tape backing and attach both the left and right side flaps to the base page with the taped part below the base page. Take care not to overlap the scored lines.

Step 7: Now, fold the scored edges of both the pocket pieces and attach these pockets on the flaps as shown below.

The folio is ready. So simple and easy, right? It looks like this when the flaps are closed.

You can decorate this folio exactly like mine using the new "Blooms & Berries" Collection and the "Cut & Create Embellishment Sheets".

STEP 3 - Remove the top corners and last corner sides from the envelope as shown in the picture below, then add tacky tape or glue and stick them together to create the envelope base.
For the belly- band, apply tape or glue to the 1/2 inch area and create a band.

STEP 4 - Finish the envelope by decorating it using Decoupage Papers or Pattern Papers as you like.
I loved working with Decoupage Papers as they are very easy to use and you can use it in many ways from making Decoupage projects to scrapbooking.

Document Holder + Travel Album

Hello everyone,

Hope you're all doing well! With Summer here, it's always a good idea to plan a vacation. Today we have some perfect projects to document your travels and vacations using the Papericious Let's Go Paper Collection and Chippies.

First up is a Document Holder. It's a perfect holder for tickets, boarding passes, or any souvenirs from your trip. For this one, we've used Papericious Yellow Cardstock for our base. The base is cut at 9"x12", scored at 5 1/8" and 10 3/8" on the 12" side. For the inside, left pockets cut two pieces at 9 3/4" x 2 1/2"; and 9 3/4" x 4"; and for the right pockets 9 3/4"x4". Score all three at 1/2" on three sides. Then it's all about matting with pattern paper and decorating it.

Next, we have an envelope style mini album to hold all those perfect pictures from the vacation. For this one, we've created enveloped on the We R Memory Keepers 123 Punchboard, with a 7" x 7" paper size. We wanted to keep one side open and so we cut one flap. We've put pattern paper to 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" to make our cards for the inside and decorated them with elements from the paper pack and chippies. For the covers, we cut down pattern paper to 4"x5" and decorated the same way. We then punched two holes and used some ribbon to hold the album together. Here's a look at it:

Hope you're inspired to document your Vacation Memories!
