CAS Shadow Boxes - Shabby Chic Home Decor

Hi All!
This is Priya from Priya-n-papers. I am here today to share home decor projects I made using Papericious shadow boxes. Those who follow my work, knows that I have a CAS style i.e. Clear and Simple. So when I got shadow boxes in my DT kit, I was super thrilled to get new products but also felt nervous at the same time on how to use these.
This is my first trial with shadow boxes and paints and as usual, I ended up making CAS style project. :D
I made 2 shadow boxes using some cool shabby chic colors and using minimal raw material.
Peachy Love Shadow Box :
I wanted to keep both my shadow boxes simple, so I tried not to overdo it. For this one, I used, 10x12 shadow box and gave it 2 coats of Peach acrylic color.
I gold embossed Papericious Mandala chippi to create the center piece and die cut the word "love" using a die from a glitter paper.
To accentuated the side of the mandala, I used ribbon blooms from Papericious Wedding collection from previous releases.
Pool Love Shadow Box :
I simply love pool color, it's so cool and bring a breezy feel to the home. I kept the color combo monochromatic so that it can blend in to any existing home decor.
To decorate the shadow box, I used Moroccan Lattice chippi and colored it with same pool color and stick it to the back. Love sentiment is again a diecut from silver glitter paper.
To complete the box, I used tulle flowers and leaf lace from Papericious previous releases.
Products Used :
10 x 12 Shadow Box

8 x 12 Shadow Box
Mandala Chipboard
Moroccan Lattice
Lace Trim Flowers

This is it from my side. I hope you liked my home decor projects. if you do, please leave a comment to let us know!
Have a great day!
Cheers,
Priya

Sigma flowers and Femina card

Hello crafty friends, Monika here.
Today I would like to show you how to make cute and super easy Sigma flowers.

Sigma cardstock are perfect for making flowers, but do you know what I love most about them? We could use punches to punch out shapes from Sigma cardstock. No machines and dies are needed. This is so simple, quick and easy way to make lots of flowers.

So here is a tutorial:
1. Punch some flowers with punches and Sigma cardstock.

2. Put the flowers to the clean water. When flowers are wet, put them on the paper towel to drain off excess water. You could colour them at this step with a paint or ink if you wish.

3. Lay each flower on the  mat face up and push down in the center of each one with embossing tool to shape.

4. The effect will be different when you use different size of the tool. Look at the picture - I used 3 different sizes of tools: the tool first from the left has 2mm, second 4mm, third 8mm.

5. Let all flowers dry, then make a hole in the center of each one.

6.  Apply some glue in the center and adhere stamens. You could also use beads or pearls instead of stamens.

This is the basic technique of making flowers, maybe you would like to learn more? If yes, please write a comment.

I played a little with Sigma cardstock and punches:

Small flowers I made are great filler to the flower cluster, look at them here, on my card.

To make this card I used beautiful papers from Femina paper pack. I love cut out sheet so I used a cute image of baloon. I also added bigger and smaller flowers made from Sigma cardstock, lace white flowers, chipboards embossed white and some green sequins.

I also decorated the inside of my card.

A baby on the way altered cross stitching hoop

Hello my dear crafty friends!
It's Irit here from Irit Shalom's  Designs and today I am going to share some lovely altered inspiration .
I love to alter things and those cross stitching hoops are just the best one to alter.
So I made a cute Baby on the Way altered hoop using Papericious new, just released Mom to Be collection, Papericious laces, chipboards, sequins and jute cord with just a small add- ons of dies and paint.

This hoop is 10 1/2'' in diameter and this is one of the biggest hoops on the market and can be a nice display for Baby Shower party or as a decoration on the wall.
The reason I stacked to  Baby Boy colors is that I  have a very new grandson who was just born last week and everything I craft  right now is in those boy colors.
I am really sorry that I got this fantastic Mom to Be collection after my daughter's Baby Shower, but I hope that we will have more babies in the family and I will use it for another party decoration.

This the whole project here:

And the side view of this project:

Also this is not my tutorial day here on Papericious blog, so here are just a few steps I made to create this project:

First I hand cut the circle of patterned cardstock and inserted it into the hoop.
Then I painted the hoop with blue acrylic paint.
Nest I cut Papericious lace into halves and glued it around the hoop.
The main image was  hand cut three times and I made the 3d image with foam glue.

All chipboard pieces were painted with the same acrylic paint as the hoop.

Paper  images were hand cut and added to the project:

Each an every paper cut was inked around the edges  for the interest. All die cuts were made from the same collection patterned paper with inked edges as shown:

Here is a product list here and you can but them all in Papericious shop.
