Shikara- Mixed Media Canvas by Shilpa

Hello Everyone,
Shilpa here,

Papericious' Incredible India collection has beautiful papers showing Indian colors, culture, and places.
I've used few background papers and lovely picture of  Shikara (Boat in Dal Lake) as my focal point.

here is making process...

I made strips of design papers and adhered them on canvas to create layers and textures.

Next I applied light texture paste through bubble stencil.
Let it dry completely.

I used blue spray colors in different shades on the surface.

I cut out this "Shikara" and enhanced its colors with markers pens.

adhered few pebbles and stones...

And here is the final look of my mixed media canvas.

Hope you enjoyed ...
thanks so much for stopping by.

Flip-Fold Envelope Tutorial using Papericious Pattern Paper-Incredible India

Dear Friends,

Shalini Pahwa here, today i'll share the flip-fold envelope tutorial using Papericious Incredible India Pattern paper. This stack is just perfect if you want to make something with heritage theme.
So Let's start with the tutorial First
Take two cardstock size 103/4”x 103/4”  and place the paper on the martha stewart scoring board for making the envelope or you can use ready-made envelope. It's your choice. As you can see on the scoring board drawing there are two sections A and B. For A score at 3.5" and for B score at 4.5"
 Now the envelopes are ready
Now Flip one of the envelope and paste one flap inside the envelope, for reference see the pix below.
So the base is ready and start decorating it. This is the front look

Decoupaged Circular Tray | Tutorial

Hello, This is Ujjwal and today I am sharing a simple tutorial on how to decoupage using the absolutely beautiful "Incredible India" Paper Pack. The patterns in this pack are absolutely gorgeous and very royal! I especially loved this Mughal era image and thought it would be perfect for a jewellery tray or even just as a decor.

Instructions:

Step 1: Measure the inside of the MDF circular tray and cut the piece of pattern paper accordingly.

Step 2: Using acrylic paints, paint the MDF tray. Choose the colors that go with the pattern paper that you have chosen. You can do one or two coats depending on the coverage and finish you are looking for. I gave 2 coats of paint. Let dry. Since the center will be covered with the paper, I didn't pay much attention to the finish of the center.

Step 3: Using Mod Podge or any decoupage glue, adhere the pattern paper to the the tray. Be generous with Mod Podge and apply it under and over the paper to the seal the paper well to the tray. Let dry.

Step 4: Apply a varnish to the complete tray to make it waterproof and more durable. I use Asian Paints Aquador Matt Finish Varnish. Let dry.

And you have a beautiful piece all set to adorn your house or giveaway as a gift!

I hope you enjoyed this small tutorial! You can find the information about all our retailers all over India and abroad HERE.

Incredible India Box

Hello friends,
This is Nupur here from Nupur Creatives
Today I am sharing a simple decoupaged box / tin.
I had an empty Threptin Biscuit tin & decided to give it a makeover.
I have used Incredible India Paper pack to decorate it. As the name suggests this paper pack has gorgeous designs inspired by India. I decided to use the design with elephants.

The tin already had dull gold edges so I left it like that & covered rest of it with pattern papers using Mod Podge. I decorated it with red rhinestones to bling it up...

This was quick & easy project but I love that it still adds the ethnic touch with bright & cheerful color to my work space & is so useful for storing small items...
Hope you like it too...
Thank you for visiting today :)

Playing Card MDF Box with Papericious Incredible India

Hello Dear Friends,

Wishing a very happy and prosperous “Diwali” to all my fellow crafters and friends. May the Goddess of wealth – Laxmi, smile upon you and your family filling your home not only with wealth but also with peace of mind and goodness.

Besides the usual festivities associated with Diwali, playing cards is one of the most famous entertainment and source of family and friend bonding on this day. According to a popular legend, the Hindu goddess Parvati and her husband Lord Shiva were playing dice on the Diwali night. Happy about her success in the game, Parvati ordered that playing dice on the Diwali night would bring prosperity to the players throughout the following year.

Today, I add a crafty twist to this auspicious vice. I present to you a hand-crafted “Playing Card Box”. Make this box your companion during this ritual and see goddess Laxmi smile upon you even more.

I have made this box using “Incredible India” collection of pattern papers from Papericious. This collection which is a mixture of what Indianess stands for is a must for every crafter whose heart beats for this lovely country. The unique design, vivacious hues and superlative quality of this pattern paper stack from Papericious just attracted me to this astounding creation.

So just revel this Diwali, play cards (responsibly) and let the Goddess of wealth shine on you throughout the  year.

I hope you all must have liked my work
