Star shaped mini album

Hello everyone,
Its kavitha here today and i am sharing a super fun little mini album made using Little star collection. The colors n prints in this collection are so bright n happy and the coordinating embellishments makes the work much more easier.

Making a star shaped album was in my to-do list for long time, but lot of paper go waste for this shape,i kept wondering whether i should attempt it or not. When i saw this Little star collection in my DT pack this month i know it times to make one.Can you believe over all the album measures around 8 1/2 inches, but due to shape its looks small.

I cut the shape with my silhouette machine both in card stock n pattern papers, glued them together. For adding pic i cut circle shape with largest circle die from spellbinders and used embellishments from the paper pack. Its was super quick n fun to make.

Hope you liked my project for today, see ya all soon

Thank you for stopping by.
Happy crafting,

Little Star "MY BABY'S FIRST YEAR MEMOIR"

 Dear friends
A new baby in house always bring cheer in the whole family. The first baby cry, first word, first step, lullabys – every small incidence of the first year of the baby is a memory parents cherish throughout their lives. So let’s celebrate this best year in a parent’s life by presenting a baby photo multifold card/album for the first year.

Inspired by the thoughtful pattern paper by Papericious, called “Little Stars”, this small album can cover the entire first year milestone of your little one. The “Little Stars” by Papericious has a collection of neatly compiled boy and girl theme papers, stars and planets, die-cut embellishments and neat headers to define the milestones for the first year of your little one. In fact in order to create this album this pattern paper collection is perhaps all that you may require (besides a bit of your creative bone and some craft tools).

Let me explain you how to create this lovely “Baby’s First Year" memoir with the “Little Stars” pattern paper from Papericious

Step 1 : Card Construction
Make a multi fold(4 fold) card using cardstock and distress the edges.
Size is 5.5"x7.5"(one fold size) and later i added one top fold at the last page ...

Step 2 : Title Page/Cover
On the Title page, I have created a background of a pattern paper and used oval die. The baby carriage and also the little baby clothes embellishments are created.
Step 3 : Inside Pages
On the inside pages, I have used different pattern papers from the “Little Stars” stack and embellished it with Papericious die cuts (which is also a part of this stack). The milestone titles (like First Smile, First Step, First Tooth etc.) are also part of the stack.
Step 5 :Back Cover
Step 5 : Decorating using embellishments
Now you can use some embellishments from your collection (like boat, aeroplane etc.) which would highlight the baby theme and make your creation look personalized and unique.

Step 6 : Finishing with Baby’s Pics
No movie is complete without the HERO. In this keepsake album, your BABY is your HERO. So go ahead and click nice pics of your baby (or search for these in your collection), get them developed in the desired size and paste it at the designated space… And lo… your album is complete. A prized possession and a thing you would cherish while you grow old.
I hope you all like this creation and would love to hear some comments!!!
Have A Nice Day!!!

Baby Boy Layout

Hello and good morning! ^__^

I'm Halak and today I'm gonna be talking about the Little Star paper collection by Papericious and the Layout I made using it.

I used 3 paper sheets out of the Little Star paper collection which were the die-cut sheet, the red polka dot sheet and the green one with the super cute dinosaurs!

Check them out! So pretty and vibrant!

This paper collection is ideal for baby boy projects. If you are looking for themed projects then, it has papers for making the following themes : Dinosaur, Space, Kite-flying and Nautical.
Along with that the pack comes with a set of 2 sheets of die-cuts!

Very quickly, here are the steps on making this :

1. Took green dinosaur pattern paper and adhered it to white cardstock.

2. Cut up die-cut design sheet and adhered the die-cut (top LHS) and patterned strip (bottom strips) to the project.

3. Added a bit more pattern through washi tape.

4. Stenciled a design onto the white portion using green, purple and blue dye inks.

5. Stamped sentiment using grey die ink.

6. Added sticker sentiments and dinosaur embellishments.

7. After that, I  added a couple of enamel dots, sequins and some faux paw-prints using black ink with a teeny tiny stencil.

8. Finally, matted the project onto red polka dotted paper for that vibrant look! ^__^

And that's how I did it!

Before I sign off, here's a fun close up :

I hope you liked it and thank you so much for stopping by! Till next time dear friends! *Hugs*

Love in Paris: A love card!

Hello Everyone!

For my first post for April, I'm using the 'Love in Paris' paper stack and I totally love the pink and yellow hues in this pack!! Apart from scrapbooking I find these ideal for making cards!!!! The soft colors add a real charm to the cards. Here's what I made!

I picked up a yellow hue paper which had some nice bird on it and made a Z fold card!!! This card's fold is a real pretty one!

Assembled a few flowers and embellishments and tadaa... the card is ready!

Well, it took me less than 45 minutes to make this one and thats real quick!

Everyone's got a equal chance here so whether you are a novice or an experienced crafter, all are welcome to play along our challenges :)

Now onto some wonderful inspiration from the Design Team. First up is this gorgeous card from Halak Shah.

Here's how she made this card :
1. Took the wooden plank design pattern paper from the Naturals
collection, distressed it and adhered to cardstock.
2. Fussy-cut flowers, leaves and a butterfly from the Papericious
Ephemera Paper collection sheets, positioned them onto the wooden
plank design paper and adhered.
3. Stamped sentiment using archival black ink.
4. Adhered pale pink and white pearls to project.
5. Lastly, attached two bronze colored brads to the bottom left hand side of the project and added a coat of glossy accents to the butterfly.

And that's how it was done.

Next up, is a layered card made by me. I have used pattern papers from the March 2016 release- Papericious Ephemera Collection. The butterflies are fussy cut from the same paper collection, while the flowers are handmade :)

Hope you're inspired to play along our challenge. We would love to see your entries using Papericious products!

Memory box Album with a tutorial

Hello Everyone!

I'm Manu and yes I had two consecutive posts this time on the papericious blog!!! I'm back with a tutorial on how to make a Memory Box Album!!! Well, this album can house a lot of pictures and messages, yet is very unlike the normal handmade albums we do!! This one has lots of flaps and is a lot interactive one!!! And yes, Memory Box Album is what I call this one as. Used the Ephemera collection which is the March release from Papericious and trust me, this collection is to be loved loved loved by all the Vintage loving folks out there!!!

Here's the Memory Box Album!

I totally love making albums and different types of albums is what I look towards making !!! This one is an absolute favorite of mine these days!!

Lets see how Did I make this one!

The Good thing about this album is that keeping the base structure same, we can do a lot of different types of panel placements to make these albums interactive!!

I took a piece of 8*6 cardstock(remember to take a high gsm paper for this album). The other two panels are 4.5*8 and 4.5*8 which on which I have scored at 1/4 at three regular intervals to add dimension to the album!!! This way, while adding more panels and pictures inside, the album can accommodate everything!

Here are the measurements of the panels!!! Like I said, that there is no particular rule to be followed and the placements of the panels can be done as per your imagination and wish!! Remember to add more depth to the album on the side panels if you wish to make it very much picture centric album!!!

Here's how I have done the embellishment!

The Front page!!!

This is how the album opens up!!

This is the right hand side panel all opened up!

Here's the middle panel opened up!!

The middle panel has a waterfall structure to keep up with the every growing pictures and moments associated with them!!!

I hope you all liked the Memory Box album!!! Do try out the new packs and I'm sure that you will love them as much as I do!!!

Happy Crafting!

Tic Tac Toe themed card

Hello Everyone!!

I'm Manu and I'm sure that you all must have loved the creations made by the DT members with the March release. Papericious launchedtwo new paper stacks called 'Naturals' and 'Ephemera'. While Naturals have papers inspired by nature and not only they are wonderful for making layouts, they serve as a perfect backdrop for the pictures you take too! Ephemera is  to be loved by Mixed Media crazy folks!! It houses some really nice mixed media compatible designs. What more, Ephemera also has a co-ordinating diecuts pack and the pack has some lovely wordings and floral collection!!!

I have worked with the Naturals pack and here's a card that I made with it!

I totally loved the fact these the naturals collection could also be used to make a little artistic card!!! So love this one!!! I'm sure that I'm gonna make a few more of these!!

Here are some more close ups of the card!!!

Totally loved the soft hues of this paper collection!!

Making this card was real simple
I had 9 squares of size 2*2 cut out and then had the sides distressed. Stuck these on to another paper from the pack at a little distance and finished by putting this panel on the cardstock. The best effect comes when each layer is struck using the foam tape. One can them embellish the card !

I hope you all liked the card and yes, there are good more surprises in the store for you all. Stay tuned and keep loving papericious!!

Happy Crafting!
