Mixed Media Clock Dial ft. 'Blue and Beyond'

Hello everyone!
This is Tulika from C 4 Craft and I am back with an inspirational project of an Altered Clock Dial handcrafted with the Blue and Beyond 12" X 12" Patterned Paper Pack. The paper is all about bright colours and pictures of nautical theme - the beach, seagulls, seashells, anchor, light house etc. The motifs have watercolor effect which is very soothing and vibrant too. These are perfect for storing some beach time memories.

I have handcrafted an Altered Clock Dial with Mixed Media art. I have used co-ordinating Die Cut Embellishment Sheets with some Lace cut-outs, Sequins and Art Stones. Here are few snaps.

Mixed Media Layout with tutorial

Namaste Friends!!

This is Kriti today with a tutorial this time and this will be my last post for Papericious. It was a wonderful experience for me. Aastha and her team is super awesome and most helpful. So, coming towards my project, I had made a mixed media layout using Papericious Ethereal paper pack.

Have a look...

To make this firstly, I had taken a sheet from the respective paper pack and applied white gesso over the selected area

After that, made a pattern using Papericious White Crackle paste and stencil.

Next, spray some blue color over it.

After finalizing my composition, I have sprayed some white gesso.
For embellishments, I have used jute chord, laces and shaker beads from Papericious.

Some close- up pics..

I hope you like my project....
Once again , I want to thanks Aastha and team for the wonderful  opportunity, to design for Papericious. Papericious is like kid to me....I will really miss it.

Lots of love and hugs!!

Whimsical Layout Tutorial

Hello everyone,

Sunila and Aditi here today with a quick and easy Layout Tutorial. Today we are revisiting Papericious' older products and ranges- The Whimsical Paper Collection, Collage Chipboards, Jute Cords, Spritz Sprays and Chalk Paints along with the new release Papericious Twinkling Spark.

A layout is usually at 12"x12" piece of art, with one or more photographs as the focal. It initially was a way to scrap memories and journal about them in a 12" format. Now, the scope is wider, with people using it as a way of expression also apart from scrapping memories.

Here's a look at the layout we will be creating today:

Let's begin:

Step 1: Choose a background paper from the collection. We've chosen the one with a scene as it already lends meaning to our layout. We then brushed it with Clear Gesso to prime the surface.

Step 2: Choose a stencil, and spray some Spritz colours randomly around the focal image to create texture and add colour.

Step 3: Pick a few background stamps and stamp randomly onto the background with black ink.

Step 4: Instead of a focal photograph, we decided to use a quote from the paper collection. We also fussy cut elements from the sheet in the pack. Use corrugated cardboard to give depth to the focal quote.

Step 5: Choose other elements for layering. We picked lace, floral blooms, and collage chipboard elements. We coloured the chipboard pieces with Papericious Chalk Paints. We coloured the blooms and lace with the same sprays. We're also using the jute cord in our layering.

Step 6: Once happy with the arrangement, glue it all down. Mix  Papericious Soft Gloss Gel with Twinkling Spark, and randomly apply it onto the layout.

With that the layout is complete. Here are some close-up shots:

Monochrome double easel card tutorial

Hello! Friends,
Today I am here with my tutorial post using Papericious new release Monochrome paper pack and new 3D chipboards!
I have made double easel card ...and made it with 12"x12" cardstock so when you fold it you get 6"x12" size card with two easels to work..it's a picture heavy post..so  I am not taking more of your time n starting with my pictorial... I have done it on black cardstock..but to give clear picture ...so that you can see clearly initial few steps I have done on white card stock....so here you may follow..

# First you take a 12''x12'' cardstock
#score at 6''
# turn round your card and score at 6'' till the first score line where it meets. 6''x12'' line(shown in picture with pencil lines)

# Now cut this 6'' score line till it meets 12'' line so will have two 6''x6'' part...while cutting please cut 1/16 of paper as shown in picture ..it will help in folding our easels properly.

#Now burnish  score lines properly ( show in picture)

#Now in each 6''x6'' panel make diagonal score lines( shown in picture)

#After scoring each diagonally it will look like this (above picture)
#Now cut two 6''x6'' pieces of card stock  and stick on the half diagonal part ( see picture above)....and our two easel parts ready. Now you can decorate as you wish. Each panel size is 6''x6'' so we can decorate beautifully and the base part is 6''x12''
Here is my double easel card in black cardstock....I have done this card  keeping someone's birthday in my mind ..and I have created a story if you can see..:)

This is  my complete card with top view where you can see how beautifully  both easel parts and base part I have decorated
