Papericious May Guest Designer | Neha Bhatt | Part 2

Hello, crafty friends!
I am thrilled to be back again on the blog to share some more ideas and projects by our Guest Designer for the month of May - Neha Bhatt! Neha is a super talented designer and cardmaker whose projects always have such an edge to them. She is someone who surely doesn't need any introduction - Her work speaks for herself! :)

We couldn't be more happier to have her as a Guest Designer on our blog today. Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Neha!

Hello friends,
I am Neha here. This is first time for me on Papericious blog. I love their papers but they are mostly available in 12" x 12” so being a card designer, they are difficult to design with. I specifically like their Gilded Onyx and Bliss Paper Packs. I was eagerly waiting for Gilded Onyx papers in 6x6 inches. I don’t have words to describe the beauty of these papers. The colors are amazing, foiling is superb and they are super sturdy. I am sharing few projects using both the packs. Both papers go so well together.

6 Note-Cards with Envelopes in a Box

These are pretty easy cards to put together and they look gorgeous. They are 5.5"x3". There is no message which allows you to use it for any occasion. Thick paper allows you to make simple but sturdy box. Box topper is made with Abstract Chippis which was colored with Golden Acrylic Paint.

Bookmarks (Ink Blending on Foiled Paper)

They are 2"x6" bookmarks. For the back, I have used this white foiled paper from Gilded Onyx Pack. I have used various altenew inks for ink blending for vibrant colors. I tried with Oxides, but they were coating the the foiled part giving very dull look. For the fron I used matching plain cardstock for stamping.

Tag (Stamping on Foiled CS)

I tried stamping on text pattern paper and I am amazed. It looks divine with the foiled pattern showing through solid stamping.

I recommend using solid stamps and dye inks for this technique.

Card (Heat Embossing on Foiled Paper)

I have used patterned papers from the Gilded Onyx Pack on this card.

Once again I used solid stamp to emboss the images with Metallic Embossing Powders. It was hard to capture the sparkling beauty of foil and embossing. For colored embossing, you can try Distress Oxides for stamping and emboss it with Clear Embossing Powder.

That is all for today! I hope you like my creations. Thank you, Hussena and Aastha for this wonderful opportunity. I totally enjoy playing with these papers. Hugs!

Papericious May Guest Designer | Neha Bhatt

Hello, crafty friends!
I am beyond thrilled to introduce our Guest Designer for the month of May - Neha Bhatt! Neha is a super talented designer and cardmaker whose projects always have such an edge to them. She is someone who surely doesn't need any introduction - Her work speaks for herself! :)

 Travel Folio:
This is the first time I have made a project with so many pockets...:P ! The Folio measures 5 x 8 inches with 6 pockets to hold your passport, boarding passes, tickets, credit cards etc. I have also made a mini notebook to take notes during travel. There are 2 luggage tags and 5 paper clips to hold your receipts, papers etc.

This aqua blue is my favourite color from the Bliss Patterned Paper Pack. For the focal point, I wanted to use their Globe or Wanderlust Collage Chippis, but by mistake, I ordered the wrong one. You can even use their Lets Go Chippis (The tiny airplane on globe and locator pin chippies used on paper clips are from Let’s Go Collection).

The text pattern was perfect for a notebook cover. This paper is so beautiful that I had hard time cutting it. For inside pages, I cut few papers from a writing pad, stacked them and stitched with a twine. The luggage tags are very sturdy as there are three layers of papers...outer frame, middle part with a flap and foiled paper on back. The plan opens on right where you can have your name & details.

The Paper Clips are 3 die cuts stuck together for strength.
Suitcase Stamp, Globe Stamp & Die, Luggage Tag Die, Paper Clips Die are from Papertrey Ink.

That is all for today! I hope you like my creations. Thank you, Hussena and Aastha for this wonderful opportunity. I totally enjoy playing with these papers. Hugs!

Marquee Letters - Pictorial

Hello people!

Chirali this side with a full of lights tutorial which will be enlightened more with the use of Gilded Onyx paper pack.

Let's have a look:

Here is the pictorial:

I drew 8x8 inches squares on a cardboard with square boxes of 1x1 inches. Then drew the designs of letters keeping 2 inches width of each one and then cut the straight lines with cutter and then gave curves with scissor.

Then put the reversed letter on a reverse side of the paper and drew the letter's shape. I have selected one of the best paper packs from Papericious, according to me.

Add those patterned papers on cardboard cutouts with a strong glue.

Then I punched the letters at a random distance.

I cut white stripes of 1.5 inches and scored each at 0.75 inch. Then glued the same on the corners of each letter. This will make each letter stand too.

Now time to add lights. I added warm white light series, each bulb in each hole and then fix the back side with any not so strong tape on random spaces so that light doesn't come out.

Here is the final outcome!

This is for my niece who completed 3 months and I couldn't think of any other papers than this from Papericious.

Doesn't it look beautiful? The Gilded Onyx Paper pack has amazing colour combination with lots of golden in it.Such a versatile paper stack this is!

Here is my baby looking at her name!

I hope you liked it.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,
Chirali:)

Card and Money Envelope Using Papericious Vellum Cardstock

Hello everyone,
Heena here from bloomingpaperbuds.com, today I have two projects to share featuring the papericious vellum cardstock. One is a card and another one is a money envelope. I have used the gorgeous Gilded Onyx pattern papers along with the vellum cardstock. The vellum cardstock is 180 gsm and this is a speciality vellum designed especially for making flowers and it is sturdy enough to use with embossing folders and it does not warp when heated so it is also great for heat embossing. Papericious has also launched two more products along with this so go check out the new release if you haven't already.

Now, have a look at my card...

For this card, I have used pattern papers from the Papericous Gilded Onyx paper pack along with the vellum cardstock. The flowers and leaves are also made using the vellum cardstock. I have also used the linear borders white chippis.

For this envelope, I have again used pattern papers from gilded onyx paper pack and circle flourish white chippi.

I hope you liked my creation, Thank you for stopping by!
Heena xo
