Hello everyone!
Heena here from bloomingpaperbuds.com. Today I have some easy Diwali cards and a tutorial for cute paper Diya garland to share using the Papericious Diwali paper pack. So Let's begin!

For this card, I have used white textured cardstock and Apple green coloured cardstock, I have created a watercoloured background on the textured cardstock and the lanterns and sentiments are fussy cut from the Diwali paper pack.

For this card, I have used the crocus coloured cardstock and chipboard elements from the Diwali themed chipboards. I  have cut small tiles of the pattern paper from Diwali pack and glued them using glue dots. The chipboard elements are heat embossed in gold.

Now let's begin with the tutorial, To make the paper diyas take a piece of cardstock and cut out a circle of diameter 5.5cms for the base.

Now cut the circle in half.
Cut a piece of pattern paper 3 cms long and 14 cms wide, you can customize the size depending on how bigger or smaller you want the paper diyas to be.
Now using a scoreboard, keep scoring at 1/4'' along the width. (you can skip this step and directly start making the folds)
Now make the accordion folds.
To make the flame, cut a teardrop shape out of a cardstock.
Apply a coat of clear drying glue and sprinkle golden glitter.
Now, first stick the flame on the base and fan out the pattern paper in a semicircle and stick it on the base using a hot glue gun.
Take a fine thread and secure it on the backside using a tape and the paper diya is ready! You can either tie the other end of the thread wherever you wish to hang them or stick them using a transparent tape.
I hope you found my post inspirational, Thank you for visiting!
