Mini Album using Love Actually

1:09 pm Arjita 2 Comments

Hi friends,
Welcome to my blog post. Today I have used the gorgeous LoveActually paper pad to create this mini album. I really enjoy making mini albums which are not super complicated. This one is a ready made chipboard album and I had fun decorating it with the papers and chipboard embellishments.
This album took me less than an hour and becomes a perfect gift to anyone. I kept it simple from inside and just jazzed the cover. I used a sharp pair of scissors to cut a few motifs from the paper pad and added them on the cover as my main embellishments.

Here are the pictures of all the inside pages and I just created few pockets randomly to add interest.

With this we come to the end of the blog and also this is my last one at Papercious Blog. I had a great time working here with such amazing products and team mates. I am so thankful to all who took out time to go through my blogs and left their comments which are super precious to me.
Hope to see you all soon..
Have a blessed life!

DIY File Holder

11:00 am lekha 1 Comments

Hi lovely people,
Today I will be sharing with you an easy tutorial on making a file holder featuring my favorite set of Papericious pattern papers
I have made two sizes of file holders to keep my 12"x 12" and 6"x 6"  pattern papers all organised and sorted.
Making these was on my list for sometime now.So lets start with the tutorial.
I have taken corrugated sheet(from old packaging) and cut them to sizes which fits in 12x12" and 6x6" papers easily.
Large File Holder: 2 pcs (13" x 11.5 "); 1 pc (13"x 4"); 1 pc (11.5"x 4")
 Small File Holder: 2 pcs (7" x 3.5"); 1 pc ( 8.5"x 7"); 1 pc (7" x 3.5")
For getting all the sides together I have used painters tape, you can also use got glue gun to adhere all the sides in place.

I have painted the edges of the corrugated sheet using the country grey chalk paint (Large file holder). This is how it looks when taped.

I have painted the edges with  brick red chalk paint (small file holder).
Next step took Azalein paper pack and trimmed papers to respective sides (approx. 1cm smaller).

For the smaller file holder I have used the Ethereal paper pack and trimmed the pattern paper (approx. 1cm smaller).

I have embellished the file holder with some fussy cut images and flowers and lace.

That's all from my side.
Hope the easy tutorial inspired you to create one for yourself.

Photo Album using Papericious Chipboard Elements

11:00 am Erum Tasneem 1 Comments

Hello friends!
Erum here today with a very pretty, wintery photo album to share.
I made this for a customer of mine, for her daughter.

I used Papericious chipboard elements, Fence, Ornament and the gorgeous Rajni Chawla's Twinkling Spark Glitter.

I started by first adding gesso to the background with the help of a stencil. Then I poured over the Twinkling Spark generously. After it was dry, I mixed Deep Teal and Martian Green Spritzz to form a new shade and used a very diluted version of that to add colour to my background and to my readymade flowers.
I also added gesso and glitter onto the twigs and chipboard elements and then arranged everything around the "snowglobe" shaker.

I also made a box for this album. Kept it as simple as I could.
I added tons of Crystal Clear Glitter on the butterflies. Here is a closer look!
The glitters; both the Twinkling Spark and Crystal Clear brought life to this photo album!

That is all from my side today. I hope you liked the album.

Namaste Friends!!

This is Kriti today with a tutorial this time and this will be my last post for Papericious. It was a wonderful experience for me. Aastha and her team is super awesome and most helpful. So, coming towards my project, I had made a mixed media layout using Papericious Ethereal paper pack.

Have a look...

To make this firstly, I had taken a sheet from the respective paper pack and applied white gesso over the selected area

After that, made a pattern using Papericious White Crackle paste and stencil.

Next, spray some blue color over it.

After finalizing my composition, I have sprayed some white gesso.
For embellishments, I have used jute chord, laces and shaker beads from Papericious.

Some close- up pics..

I hope you like my project....
Once again , I want to thanks Aastha and team for the wonderful  opportunity, to design for Papericious. Papericious is like kid to me....I will really miss it.

Lots of love and hugs!!
