I'm Halak and today I'll be taking you through a masculine layout tutorial.

Making masculine projects is just so damn hard, right?!

Glitter or no glitter, sequins or no sequins.... what about flowers! Yikes! So many options and before you know it, boom, it's become a feminine project.

The Papericious Naturals collection is your answer to making stunning masculine and neutral themed projects!

So, let's get crafting!

Steps :

First I selected the pattern paper sheet I wanted to work with. I selected the light denim pattern design and stenciled the sentiment onto it.

Tip : There is an awesome collection of different textural denim patterns  in the Naturals collection that are great not only for Masculine themed projects but also look stunning with the Retro Chic style of papercrafting.

Once the sentiment was stenciled, I took some distress inks in the same color family as the pattern paper and stenciled in some designs.

Also added some washi tape bits.

Tip : Using stencils is a great way to add dimension and texture to your project without increasing it's weight. So if you are sending happy mail out to friends and family in different parts of the world, befriend the stencils and pattern papers. They will give you some stunning results in unison!

Took a darker denim sheet from the Naturals collection and hand-tore a strip from it.

Positioned the strip roughly where I wanted and added some more stenciling and washi tape.

Finally, added some sequins and a circle medallion that I hand-cut from Papericious Often collection.

I made a bunch of these medallions from the paper sheets and it was really simple :
Cut out the medallions, adhered a sticker to some and left some as-is.
Gave it a coat of glossy accents and sprinkled glitter over it.

Papericious papers play really nicely with each other and thus, a fusion of papers from different Papericious collections also looks great!

Bonus Project

Oh yeah! I have a bonus project tutorial for you!

A beautiful neutral birthday card thats super easy to make!

Pretty eh? Simple too! Let me show you how :

First I took this gorgeous wood plank style pattern paper from Papericious Naturals collection and stenciled + roughly stamped a script design stamp to select areas.

I took these 4 die-cuts from the Papericious Ephemera collection.

Hand-tore two pieces of pattern paper from Ephemera collection and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment onto one piece (left the second piece as-is) and adhered both the pieces to paper.

Positioned the Ephemera die-cut embellishments roughly where I wanted them placed.

Tip : Always position your pieces before you glue / tape them down, because sometimes what's in your mind, might not necessarily look great in actuality! To be on a safer side, I photograph the placement I like and then move the pieces and work by looking at the photograph for adhering the elements to project.

Finally adhered the pieces and added some pink colored sequins.

Matted it onto white cardstock and... done!

I'm Halak and today I bring to you something that is super fun to make using the AMAZING new release at Papericious, the Adhesive Buttons!

I made.... Door Hangers!

It's my very first time and I was a tad nervous but boy.. I sure am glad to see the way they turned out!

Let's call the orange and black door hanger on the left, DH (Door Hanger) #1 and the one on the right, DH #2.

Here's how I made them :

DH #1

1. I took a sheet of paper from the lovely - Orange Fall paper stack by Papericious and covered my wood base.

2. After that, I decided I wanted to go with the black Adhesive Buttons, so I picked the Be You button pack to work with.

3. Once I decided where to place them, I put them aside and began stenciling to create the background I thought of with a couple of stencils.

Tip : For a texturized look, always opt for more than one stencil.

4. Then, I placed the buttons back on, this time after removing the protective backing and stuck them firmly to the project along with some butterflies and black sequins!

5. I also dug up some black and white stickers from my stash [the word Hope and the tiny design on the black circle are stickers] and added them to DH #1. (Have I told you I absolutely LOVE collecting stickers?)

That's it! Super easy! Check this cool close up pic out!

Now onto DH #2

This is how I did it :

1. The background for this is a lovely sheet from my favorite paper stack... yup, The Vintage Attire by Papericious.

I wanted to make this one for my sibling and she LOVES all things PARIS!
When I think of Paris, don't know why... Vintage Chic is what comes to my mind so that is what I decided to go with.
The Adhesive Buttons are from the Paris button pack.

2. When I looked closely at the buttons, I absolutely loved how the Eiffel Tower images on the buttons had pretty flowers so I inked up some flower stamps in red and added them randomly to the project.

Did you know, Papericious papers are archival safe, acid and lignin free and are FANTASTIC for stamping on and even color blending! ^__^

3. Once the flowers were stamped, I stamped a nice sentiment cos well... let's face it, all siblings are pretty awesome! (No matter how much we fight with them most of the times! LOL)

4. Again, just like how I did it for DH #1, similarly, I took a couple of stencils with my Papericious Blending Tool (Circle) and began stenciling to my heart's content.

5. I cut up some leaves from My Golden Garden embellishment sheet and stuck them to the project followed by the buttons. I also scattered a couple of tiny black leaves in the background.

6. Lastly, punched out a few green butterflies, glued them to the project and gave them a matching rhinestone center.

And it's done! Here's another close up.

I had so much fun working with these buttons.... and my sibling was absolutely stoked with the fact that I made one for her in her favorite theme.

She was seen showing it off around the house. Here's her door....

I'm Halak and I'll be taking you through a really cool tutorial today.

How to make paper bags without any fancy tools and equipments!

I have used the AWESOME sheets from Papericious - Orange Fall paper stack.

It's Halloween time folks, and even though it is not exactly celebrated in India, I thought it'd be fun to make small paper bags and fill them with treats, Halloween style!

Let's get cracking then!

These are the beautiful 12" by 12" sheets from Orange Fall paper stack that I used. (Soooo pretty....)

I'll explain the process by showing you what I did with one sheet of paper. I made all the bags in this exact same way.

So, I took one sheet and turned it over and drew a line at 14.5 cms.
(If you get confused, see the cutting mat, each square of the cutting mat equals 1 centimeter.)

I haven't cut the sheet yet, the photo is cropped to show you the line that has been drawn a tad better.

After this, I scored the line using a scoring tool and folded the sheet.

Then I measured 1 centimeter (cm) from the right hand side edge and scored that too.

You can see the 1 cm scored edge in the picture below.

After that I applied glue on the edge and pasted it.

At this stage, this is what my project looks like :

After this, I scored 2 cm on the right and the left hand side of the project.

Here's the picture :

The key to getting a perfect bag is to score correctly.

After scoring, remember we had a 1 cm edge on the right hand side that we glued down?

Well we do the same and create a 1 cm edge at the bottom of the bag, because without it, the stuff we put in the bag will fall right out!

So I created a 1 cm edge at the bottom which looks like this :

After this I applied some glue on this edge and sealed it up too, just like how I did the first edge.

Then, just like how I scored the right and left hand side, I scored the top and bottom of the bag using the same measurement of 2 cm.

After scoring, it's time to shape the bag.

Have you noticed in paper bags how the edges of the bag's base are neatly foldable making the paper bags easily stackable?

We have to do the exact same thing and that will lead us to this :

They kinda look like kitten ears, don't they? Lol... Stay with me guys, we're almost there!

Glue down those triangles (kitten ears) and fold the scoring that we did on the top of the bag and push it inside the bag.

If you want, you can make a bag without scoring at the top, just score on right hand side, the left and bottom.

The reason why I  scored at the top is to give the bag a uniform neat look. (Yeah, I'm kinda weird that way!)

Ta Dah! Check these out! (You can see here the scoring on top that I pushed inside the bag for that neater look!)

Once the bags were ready I punched holes in the bags and set black and white eyelets.

It's time to decorate!!! ^__^

Yup, I did a Halloween themed look complete with ghosts, skeletons, sticker sentiments and a whole lotta sequins!

You can use strings to make your bag a cool little carry bag or you can affix a ribbon through the holes and tie them up into a neat little bow to make it a cute treat bag!

You can make bigger bags using two sheets of Papericious 12" by 12" instead of using a single sheet per bag like I did.

I had a blast making these bags which I filled with candy (and also ate a whole lot of candy in the process!) ^__^

Hello hello!

Once again, it's me Halak and Iet me warn you.... I definitely will be breaking some of your notions and ideas today pertaining to crafting.

Crafting is for experts.
Nope, not at all, it is for everybody, is easily accessible and a stress buster.

It takes up a lot of time!
Hell no! ^__^ Stay with me and I will prove you wrong!

Materials are always expensive.
Nope... you don't need to spend a bomb for quality products.
(The Papericious embellishment sheet that I used today, barely costs Rs. 120/-.)

I will take you through two projects...
A fun take on a traditional Christmas decoration - The Wreath
And,
A Bonus Project, classic Halak style!

So what are we waiting for... let's get to it.

The Wreath has cool step by step photos and I will be giving written step by step instructions for both projects. (Bonus project is pretty self-explanatory so just one picture there!)

The Wreath - (Project #1)

You know, this pretty wreath base is made out of recycled material. An old packing cardboard box that I had.
(Create Art + Save the environment, is that awesome or what!)

I cut up a part of the box and drew a 5.5" circle on it and cut it out. (Using a rounder from an old geometry box)

I drew another circle using the same point as center within the bigger circle. This circle was 3.5".

Then, I cut this smaller circle too which created this ring. (Reminds me of a donut, so let's just call it that!)

Here's the picture.

So with the base for my Wreath ready, I began gathering the pretty decorations that'd go on top of this.

1. The embellishments I fussy-cut from the beautiful Papericious embellishment sheet - My Golden Garden.
(It's a pack of 2 sheets having the same design and is absolutely GORGEOUS!)
IT IS JAM PACKED with loads of designs so all you gotta do is fussy-cut them.

Here are my beautiful embellishments all ready to be adhered onto the project.

Look at them... soooo very pretty!

2. After this is done, all you need are a couple of flowers in different sizes and some sequins.
(Those teeny tiny butterflies that you see are punched out using Papericious Vintage Attire paper stack!)

I love the whole white Christmas, golden glow theme so I used golden sequins, but hey, you can pick whatever color you like!

Here are the additional embellishments.

So now we are all set...

What to do now?
Just layer the pretty Papericious embellishments and the additional assortments in a way and pattern you fancy.

It could be so much fun sitting to craft this with your kid and letting them pick and arrange stuff! ^__^

Here you can see I layered the Papericious embellishments and the flowers first.

Once I was pleased with the arrangement, I glued it down (using fevicol) and finished it off with some sequins.

And there you have it! One easy peasy project that looks pretty, is cost effective and takes barely 25 mins to make!

(As an afterthought, I also added some flowersoft in the inner circle edge of the wreath, {see first pic} but you could also use glitter or flocking powder... or, just leave it as-is like how you see in this last picture!)

Tips : I made this small Wreath for my cupboard but you can make a bigger one for your room door or make tiny ones and adhere them to cardstock to make beautiful Christmas greetings too! ^__^
Also, because it has an unconventional design, you can keep this all year around and not just during Christmas!

Now, when I finished this project, I had some Papericious embellishments remaining.
(I punched out some more butterflies from the GORGEOUS Vintage Attire paper stack, took some pink rhinestones, inked up a stamp and got to my second project!)

Project #2

Ta-dah!

^__^ Simple little card just created to brighten your day and inspire you.

Here's how I made this :

1. Stamped Sentiment

2. Placed butterflies (punched out from Papericious Vintage Attire Paper Stack)
(Yes, don't give me that look. I am smitten by this paper stack..
Absolutely LOVE it!)

3. Placed my remaining embellishments from Golden Garden embellishment sheet.

4. Glittered up the word "Be" and the two big blue butterflies in white glitter and added the remaining golden sequins + 2 pink rhinestones.

5. The border at the bottom you see is a 1" tacky tape covered with golden glitter! (Yes, it is that easy!)

Total time taken for Project #2 = 12 minutes.

So you see, it's not as tough as it seems. Dream, imagine, create, recycle and have a lot of fun!

I'm Halak and I'll be taking you through one really fun project AND a bonus project with step by step instructions!

Papericious has come up with two beautiful premium paper stacks Vintage Attire and My Golden Garden along with matching embellishment packs to co-ordinate with both the packs, sold separately.

For my project this is the GORGEOUS sheet that I used from Vintage Attire. (I'll have to admit here that I sobbed while cutting paper from this stack... it is my favorite out of all the Papericious stacks and I just wanted to hoard it till the end of time!)

Hmm... I know what you are thinking... It looks like a normal card.... what's the twist?!

BOOM! Check it out! (And you thought it's all rainbows and butterflies!)

The front tag is held by a brad that swivels to reveal a hidden space behind it with an additional message.

Ha ha.. so you see, sometimes a funny card is all you need to cheer someone up!

Let's get to the steps!

1. On white cardstock base I covered half side with yellow distress ink and the other half with Papericious Paper.
Tip : To make this card, get a good quality thick cardstock for base as it helps hold the layers of paper together better and avoids warping.

2. Added a bit of red ink with a water brush and some texture using stencils with brown and black distress inks.
(Not only does Papericious paper take inks really well, but it is also, Acid and Lignin free!)

3. Stamped a goofy looking dazed birdie and colored him up and adhered to project.
Tip : I used red, yellow and green for my project, so I colored the bird using the same color combo to make the card one cohesive piece.

4. After this I fussy-cut some embellishments from Vintage Attire and My Golden Garden.
(These are AWESOME, they match and compliment the paper stacks beautifully and stamping on the labels to make your custom die-cuts is a breeze!)

Here are the embellies.... oh-soooo-pretty!

The sentiment I used is : "You're Super Old."

So, I stamped "You're Super" on the label and "Old." went on top of the birdie in the hidden space.

5. Adhered the embellishments onto the tag using fevicol and added a tiny black brad to affix the tag onto the project.

And that's it! Easy peasy!

Of course I used the Papericious Ink Blending Tool for all the stenciling and color blending that I did on the card. It's really awesome, available in circle / rectangle shape and if you haven't got it yet, well, what are you waiting for?! ^__^

BONUS project!

The embellishment sheets were so awesome and for the first time in my life, I didn't struggle with fussy cutting so I went ahead and made another project!

Here it is!

A thank you card.

I love stamping... and if it were up to me, I'd stamp even the walls of my house... but you know... sometimes we have such time constraints that getting out all craft supplies and making a card is practically impossible!

What to do?
Fear not! Papericious to the rescue!

What I have done is cut up the beautiful flowers and label from Vintage Attire, stamped sentiment on label, added a piece of pattern paper (from the lovely My Golden Garden paper stack), added a couple of sequins and sprinkled some glitter on red tacky tape on top left of the card to add a bit of sparkle!

That's it! Super easy and takes just 15 mins to make!

I am Halak and I gotta say, super excited to bring you this post on collage circles + 3D dome stickers!
Today I will be showing you some fun uses of these fantastic products that have been recently launched by Papericious.

So, let's get right to it!

Before we get to projects, I would like to tell you guys a few things... it's just so that the crafters new to the product can learn a bit about it and know it better...

Look and feel : The collage circles by Papericious, come in a set of two sheets containing two circles of different sizes.

Both sheets have same design, but the sizes of circles is different i.e. one sheet has 1" circles and the other sheet has 1.5" circles.

How to use : I don't have any circle paper punches or same size dies, so this is how I use my collage sheets...

1. Cut out roughly the design I want to use.

2. Decide whether to stick a dome sticker on it or not. (Really, they look GORGEOUS even without the dome stickers as you will see shortly, so to use stickers with collage sheets or not is entirely your choice!)

3. If I am using a dome sticker, I will stick it on top of my design.

4. Then, trim using scissors! :)

Vintage / steampunk fusion ATC.

Yes, I couldn't decide which style to go for so I fused them both into one deeply cool ATC!

Also included a close up pic!

Note : I have used 1" collage circle with 1" dome sticker and 1.5" collage circle with 1.5" dome sticker.
The name of the design is : VINTAGE TIME (#CCS103)

Here are the steps :

1. Readied my collage circles, layered them with dome stickers, trimmed them and kept them aside.
2. Created background using a stencil.
3. Colored a few gear-shaped die-cuts in brown and black ink and left them to dry.
4. Cut bits of Washi Tape.

5. Now this is cool... I began hunting for a paper that would go with my color theme but I realized I was out of browns and warm tones...

Then I noticed the awesome packing by Papericious...
They could have printed collage circles on plain white paper sheets but they did it on a very pretty pattern paper instead!!!

So... yup, you guessed it right... I trimmed that paper from the side of my collage sheet and used strips of it on the top and bottom of ATC! :D

6. Stamped sentiment on a piece of cardstock in waterproof ink, colored and distressed the cardstock + added tiny antique finish brads.

7. That's it, after this all that remained was assembling the project!

Didn't I tell you that these collage circle sheets look GORGEOUS with / without the dome stickers?
Well here they are... with AND without dome stickers on my card.

Note : I have used two 1.5" collage circles (altered one circle and used the other as-is) WITHOUT the dome stickers.
These collage circles are from the sheet : PARIS (#CCS107)

I have used one 1" collage circle WITH 1" dome sticker.
This collage circle is from the sheet :  REMEMBER FOREVER (#CCS106)

Altered Collage Circle

Yup, I altered one 1.5" collage circle and made my very own customized mini postage stamp!

How did I do this?

Really Easy.
1. Cut one 1.5" collage circle into a rectangle and matted it onto white cardstock.
2. Cut in zig-zag pattern (with my standard pair of scissors, yes, I don't have one in a zig-zag pattern.)

Okay folks, so now with the altered collage circle detail out of the way, let me give you the list of steps to make this card :

1. Readied my collage circles, trimmed and kept aside.
2. Created the super cool postage stamp. (Yes, I do like it, A LOT!)

3. Created background with chalk pastels, distress inks and a stencil.
Also after it dried, stamped sentiment in waterproof ink.

4. Stamped and fussy cut heart and colored with gelatos and Staedtler color pencils.
5. Cut strips of washi tape.
6. Picked out some co-ordinating brads and flowers.
7. Assembled the card and added a couple of embellishments!

This sadly, brings me to the end of my post.
Honestly, I had a blast working with these products and I am sure you would too!
They were new to me also when I got them so don't be afraid to try and experiment!
