Golden Dreams -- A shadow box + a mini album

Namaste Friends!!

This is Kriti, I am back again with two projects using the newly launched Papericious Shadow boxes and Papericious Gilded Onyx paper pack.

So, here is the first project...

I have altered the 8" x 10" Papericious Shadow Box using Papericious Fairyland Paper Pack. Firstly I had covered the whole shadow box with Papericious White Gesso. After that given texture with some mdf bricks and some art stones(To stick them I have used Papericious Soft Gloss Gel) and again covered the entire base with white gesso.

After that applied Papericious White Crackle Paste over the bricks. Next, sprayed Papericious Sprintz Martian Green and let it dry.

After that covered the base with the pattern paper and embellished it with some flowers and die-cuts.
Sentiment that I have used here is from the same paper pack and I have used the newly launched Papericious Shaker Beads Pink at few places.

Now,moving on to my second project.... it's a mini album of size 4.5 " x 6.5" that I have created using Papericious Gilded Onyx Paper Pack.

Have a look....

Firstly, I want to add that this is the most gorgeous and elegant paper I have ever seen and it has gold foil too. Coming to my album, it has 5 pocket pages, every page has flaps and few has belly bands to store lots of pics.

I have kept it simple as papers are beautiful enough but if you want you can embellish the pages.

I hope you liked both of my projects...do give it a try.

Everything Beautiful -- Decoupaged Canvas (Pictorial)

Namaste Friends!!

Kriti this side...wishing you a very Happy New Year. This is my first post of 2018.

Today's project will feature the recently launched Decoupage Papers by Papericious and chalk paints. I made a decoupaged canvas using Decoupage papers, Chalk paints and Decoupage glue.

For this I took a 10" X 8" canvas and covered the entire canvas with white heavy gesso. And then cut the desired design from the Papericious Decoupage paper - Fashionista.

Next I covered the entire canvas with Papericious Country Grey Chalk paint. And then with the help of spatula applied magenta colour acrylic paint at few places.

After that stamped it with script background stamp to make the background more interesting.

Then I have used Papericious Decoupage glue to adhere the design which I had cut it earlier.

Here are some final pictures...

I hope you liked it..

Decoupaged Glass Bottle

Namaste Everyone!!

This is Kriti today with an inspiration post...
The perfect way to use up your empty bottles is to alter them. Today's post is based on decoupage, which is a simple and effective way to recycle glass bottles and jars and create beautiful, unique decorations for your home and office.

Recently Papericious has launched some new decoupage papers and they can be used to create different gorgeous projects.

This is the project..

I started with a plain glass bottle that had been cleaned inside and out by soaking it in hot water( labels were removed) and then left it to dry. Then I have coated the bottle with two coats of white gesso.

After that I have applied Soft Rock Chalk paint by Papericious with the help of sponge.

Next, selected a beautiful decoupage paper from Whimsical Pack. I had cut some floral motifs. The quality of this paper is awesome, however, I felt it might be a little too firm to mould to the circular shape of my bottle. So, to save myself, I have moisten the backside of the paper with water, let it set a moment and then applied the Papericious Decoupage glue. Then positioned both the motifs and applied decoupage glue with a flat brush.

After that sponged the bottle with Dried Lavender Chalk Paint and embellished it.

Few more pics..

I hope you liked the post..

Altered Embroidery Hoop with Decoupage Papers

Namaste Friends!!

This is Kriti, I am here today with a very different project using Papericious newly launched Decoupage Papers. These papers are so beautiful, it has the most gorgeous colours and patterns. Anyone will fall in love with these.

Now, as you all know I am not a decoupage person, so I made a little different thing, tried something new with these beautiful papers.

I followed one mantra " Never be afraid to try something new, because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know". If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.

So, I altered some embroidery hoops with these papers and I love how they turned out.

Have a look!

Some close- up pics

To make these I picked three embroidery hoops of different sizes. Then coated them with Papericious white gesso, after that applied Papericious Bracket Green Chalk paint with some Papericious white crackle paste( I am in love with this product).

Now selected my favourite papers from the collection. Trace them out of the size of the hoop and cut them according to it( I had also cut three circles of a cardstock too to paste these decoupage papers over it, so that they become sturdy to hold the embellishments).

Used Papericious Soft Gloss gel to paste the papers with hoop.

Now decorate each of the hoop and get creative with it. I kept it simple with less embellishments because papers were beautiful. These don't let me to add more embellishments.

It was so much fun to make these and I am loving the final result.
