Hello people.
Chirali this side with a new project using newly released Papericious papers and chipboards. And the name says it all. Yes, it's a Christmas diorama. When it comes to winter, Christmas is the first thing that comes in mind. I have a quick photo tutorial for base too.
So here is what I have created:
Let's start with the tutorial:
Take two papers of 7"x2.5" scoring them at 0.5" at 2.5" side and 0.5" at 7" side twice. (Check below image)
Cut the same as shown in image.
And you will end up with making such square pillar.
I have taken a 12"x12" wide a thick cardboard, put a cut at 5" softly, folded it and put them stand with sticking a paper on the back at folding edge.
I adhered base papers from winter rimes paper pack.
I have taken a 4"x6" white paper and 2"x5" colour paper.
Adhered white one in the center of base and coloured one in the center of white paper. I have taken 4 0.5" stripes of colour paper (as shown in image) and sticked them to the colour paper to make a door. I had a black colour small round cornered scrap paper on my desk so used it as a handle. You can use anything.
Take one stripe of 6"x1.5" and two stripes of 6"x2", scoring the later two at 0.5" at 2" side and at 3" (to make the triangle) at 6". Then score two corner as shown in image to make the triangle and stick the 0.5" part with first stripe.
To cover the triangle, take a paper of 2"x7" and glue it on the base we have made above, one side edge to edge and other side a bit outer than the triangle. (Sorry, I could not click a picture of it but you can check the below image)
Put the whole triangle base on two pillars we have made and stick them above the door.
I have given border to the white part with 1/8" stripes and have made partitions with such stripes too.
Here is my snow fall. ;)
I have used whole tin of modelling paste to make a snow. I have put some tissues to make a snow pile. I have taken a lamp post chipboard, coloured it eith duck egg chalk paint and put it on the snow. The best thing was I did not have to stick anything till modelling paste was wet. I just put it at the places.
I took a christmas tree 3d chipboard, painted it in green and added christmas garland on it.
I added a fence, christmas tree, pine cones, changed the triangle's paper, changed the place of lamp post (I made changed a lot times in this project ;)), so many fussy cut lamps and pine cones and grass from the pack, a floral wrath on the door and some snow and garland on the triangle.
So this is the final project. I added a girl, some frills on pillars and fence, a snow man, flowers and bird on roof, pots on the entrance, a 3d christmas ornament on extreme left, made a stone path, added frosting powder on snow using soft gloss gel etc etc.
Look from a bit upper angle to make a snow pile look.
So here are lots of closeup images.
How can I forget to add lights in it when it's for Christmas?
Have a look:
Ahh!! A photo heavy post! ;)
I hope you enjoyed it.

Hugs,
