Clean, Simple and Chic Shadow Box with Gilded Onyx

Hello hello!
I have a super clean and simple but quite chic Shadow Box to share today using Gilded Onyx.
First I drew a sample template for hot air balloon and then cut several of these using the black and gold cardstock from Gilded Onyx.
Next I scored a line in the middle and started attaching all the cut outs.
After gluing them, I went over the edges with a gold marker.
This is a 6x8 Shadow Box by Papericious. I used the white and gold from Gilded Onyx to cover the inner piece.
I glued my hot air balloon and added gold alphas that spell out SOAR.
I hope you like it. This one is going to one of my cousins :)
That is all from my side today.
Thank you for stopping by and for your comments.

CAS Shadow Boxes - Shabby Chic Home Decor

Hi All!
This is Priya from Priya-n-papers. I am here today to share home decor projects I made using Papericious shadow boxes. Those who follow my work, knows that I have a CAS style i.e. Clear and Simple. So when I got shadow boxes in my DT kit, I was super thrilled to get new products but also felt nervous at the same time on how to use these.
This is my first trial with shadow boxes and paints and as usual, I ended up making CAS style project. :D
I made 2 shadow boxes using some cool shabby chic colors and using minimal raw material.
Peachy Love Shadow Box :
I wanted to keep both my shadow boxes simple, so I tried not to overdo it. For this one, I used, 10x12 shadow box and gave it 2 coats of Peach acrylic color.
I gold embossed Papericious Mandala chippi to create the center piece and die cut the word "love" using a die from a glitter paper.
To accentuated the side of the mandala, I used ribbon blooms from Papericious Wedding collection from previous releases.
Pool Love Shadow Box :
I simply love pool color, it's so cool and bring a breezy feel to the home. I kept the color combo monochromatic so that it can blend in to any existing home decor.
To decorate the shadow box, I used Moroccan Lattice chippi and colored it with same pool color and stick it to the back. Love sentiment is again a diecut from silver glitter paper.
To complete the box, I used tulle flowers and leaf lace from Papericious previous releases.
Products Used :
10 x 12 Shadow Box

8 x 12 Shadow Box
Mandala Chipboard
Moroccan Lattice
Lace Trim Flowers
 Lace Trim Leaves
Wedding Collection
This is it from my side. I hope you liked my home decor projects. if you do, please leave a comment to let us know!
Have a great day!
Cheers,
Priya

Gilded Onyx Shadow Box-- Only for you

Namaste friends!!

Hope you all are doing well. I am Kriti, back with an inspiration post using Papericious Shadow box and Gilded Onyx Paper Pack.

Here is my project,

For creating this....First I have taken a 6" X 10" shadow box and covered it with two coats of  Papericious white gesso. After that using Papericious Modelling Paste and a bubble stencil made some interesting textures on the frame. When it was dried completely, covered it with black acrylic paint.

Next, I took three sheets of paper from the pack(each one inch shorter from the other) and distressed the edges. After that glued them on the centre of the shadow box.

Then for focal point, die- cut a piece from the Papericious Card stock Tame Teal and adhere in the center with a foam tape with a die- cut sentiment from my stash.

Finally embellished it with some die- cut leaves and handmade flowers. I have used Papericious Shaker beads also to give some interest to the whole composition.

Hope you like this project..

Namaste Friends!!

This is Kriti from Handcrafted Expressions by Kriti , hope you all are doing well.

Today I have created a flip-flap album using Papericious newly launched valentine themed paper pack Love Actually and shaker chipboards.

This paper pack has very bright colours...its very beautiful with lots of die- cut elements and sentiments...

This is what I have created...

This album is 6" x 6" in size with a spine of 1" and it has flaps...flaps...and flaps...

Now, I will explain it with a pictorial....please bear with me as it is a picture heavy post...

STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL

STEP 1. Take 8 pieces of paper of size
   a) Piece 1:- 6" x 11" and score on 11" side at 6"and 7".

b) Piece 2:- 6" x 5.5"  and score on 5.5" side at 3.5" and 4.5".

   c)  Piece 3:-  6" x 5" for back reinforcement.

d)  Piece 4 and 5:-  6" x 7"  and score on 7" side at 5" and 6".

  e)  Piece 6 and 7:-  6" x 6.25"  and score on 6.25"side at 4.75" and 5.25".

f)  Piece 8:-  6" x 9.5"  and score on 9.5" side at 6" and 6.5".

STEP 2.  Attach piece 2 to piece 1 as shown

After attaching the album will look like this

Now, for back reinforcement attach piece 3 as shown

Now attach piece 4 and piece 5 to the left and right of the arrangement, as shown

Next, attach piece 6 (left) and piece 7 (right) over piece 3, leaving the 1"spine , as shown

Lastly add piece 8 over the piece 3, as shown

And, voila...album is ready with lots of flaps....

Some close- up pics....

It opens up like this...

Now, moving onto my second project...

I have altered an embroidery hoop using some Papericious art mediums and pattern papers.

Have a look...

For this firstly I have covered the entire hoop with two coats of Papericious white gesso, then applied the Papericious crackle paste. When crackle started to appear, I sprayed the hoop with blue color in an uneven manner.

After that I took a paper from Papericious Azealian paper pack and covered it with clear gesso. Using Papericious modelling paste and rose stencil given some texture to it...
When it dried, sprayed it with blue color.
And lastly added my embellishments.(i have used few sheets from Papericious Diwali Paper Pack too)

Few close-ups....

Hope you like the project...
